Since I continue to get email from people about them, I've taken down the links that weren't working; I may add some of them back again later, either by link or by putting them up at this site.

And yes, I'm hoping to update with some new chapters and authors here soon, though I can't say when.

Greetings! Welcome to my little corner of Snape Fic on the web.

I started reading Harry Potter fan fiction in the fall of 2001 as I impatiently waited the arrival of the first film. As I contemplated writing a story of my own, I found my way to a Yahoo! group dedicated to my favorite characters/pairing, Severus Snape and Hermione Granger. That group is When I Kissed the Teacher, and is currently going strong at 1000+ members.

Thanks to the encouragement and help of people at WIKTT, I completed my first novel-length fic, A Matter of Honor, and decided to post it somewhere outside the bounds of the group. Having posted it to a second Yahoo! group, The Snapefic Liberation Front, as well as fanfiction.net, I realized the limitations in my options. The groups require membership, so links to the fic there wouldn't work universally. Fanfiction.net is notoriously unreliable. I could have smaller, Snapish archives link to my fic at fanfiction.net, but the larger archives insist on hosting the story themselves, imposing restrictions on ratings, encouraging particular content (in some cases), and making the author dependent on their timetable for updates, etc.

Being the control freak that I am, I decided that, rather than turn to a smaller site, or sites, for my fic's presence on the web, I would create a site for it myself. I could then offer links to some of my other favorite Snape fics and fic sites (and Snape Fic sites), and host some other stories by friends of mine at the Yahoo! groups.

So here I am, and here you are. Enjoy the fic!
