I am a Scientist working at National Institute of Hydrology (A Government of India Society under Ministry of Water Resources), Roorkee - 247667 (Uttaranchal), INDIA (presently posted at Hard Rock Regional Centre, Belgaum, Karnataka). My research areas of interest are Remote Sensing and GIS applications in Hydrology and Watershed Management. I had worked on the mapping of watershed charactristics, land use/cover change detection, soil erosion and rainfall runoff modelling, site suitability analysis, reservoir sedimentation assessment (Linganmakki, Tungabhadra and Lower Manair Reservoir etc.) using the RS and GIS techniques. In addition to, I had also worked on hydrological aspects of drought, soil and water quality mapping and monitoring. I had publiahed 13 papers in national and international journals and nearly 18 papers in national and international seminar,symposia/conferences etc.
