When a person goes from one vessel to another, be it a chat room to in person, in person to in a car, different styles of clothing or one incarnation to another in history, it makes the person difficult to recognise. Sometimes there are telltale signs like appearance for clothing changes, or in the case of driving you can see the person nested within another vessel, but sometimes – like when meeting someone off the internet without having a picture – it is very difficult to put together. I have to admit – the inspiration for this article came partially from watching the movie “You’ve Got Mail”.
It’s not too far off though from how I believe soulmates work. If you are with someone in the other realm and wish to be together in this one as well – it must be very difficult indeed to recognize each other. Sure, you can implant little subconscious nudges, like ‘try to get to such-and-such a place by the time you reach this age’ or ‘become interested in these things so that we have a better chance of being in the same culture’. Maybe I’m attributing too much of existance to the pursuit of a soulmate. Is this really such a consuming goal for some people, even in other realms? Or is it simply romanticisation by our current incarnation’s society?
Nonetheless, people may seem familiar without knowing them and, even if you have memories of past lives, it would be difficult to place people in roles because each incarnation is so different from the last. On some level, however, you don’t change. Your soul remains the same, your branch on the tree of the divine doesn’t change. If you can recognize people by their souls, regardless of their appearance or vessel, then you could recognize them from distant pasts – assuming, that is, that you also have memories of these distant pasts. Unless you have those, you gotta stick to instinct and attraction.
