My PLACEBO Journal!
This small section will be me rambling on about Placebo inspired events in my life..feel free to only read this if bored, there will be no hard feelings!
Date: 18th August 2003
I'm being disobedient and sitting up late..despite the fact that I'm
an adult and can do so..Velvet Goldmine has just started on tv..Brians
running along with his hat and feather boa..pure joy! I already have this
on video..but this is the first time it's been on tv..shocking time to
have it on(it's 11:47pm)!!! I'll have to get it on DVD..then I can play
karaoke!
I had another go at finding the new album..and i'm about to quit. It seems
department stores don't want to stock it. It surely can't be cos of the
nude chick! If they can have cd covers with butt cheeks, zombie heads,
marilyn manson (or more to the point if they can stock Christina Uglygirl)
they can stock bloody Placebo!! They should get their act together. Kmart
and Target - SHAME ON YOU!!!!!

Still no luck with album purchasing..so I decided to look for the new
AFI single, but found 'Carbon Kid' instead...so this will do for the time
being!

After my lack of cd buying the previous day I emailed my mate in Jersey(someplace
in europe) to see if the DVD of 'This Picture' was still out..I realise
I'm completely delusional for thinking it might be..but I can dream!!

I still don't have the Sleeping With Ghosts album...and it certainly isn't
for lack of trying!! I hit the shops to spend what I had left of my pay..and
not one shop had it. Apparently everyone living in Joonalup is a fan..but
it's funny how the album still isn't in the Top 20... I checked Trax -
they only had old stuff, went to Leading Edge where I asked about the
single and album..I swear if you have to be a complete idiot to work in
these stores...then I checked Target..apparently all their cd's were stolen,
very few were left, and what was there, was in the wrong section. Example:
Blur was under "T" for "Think Tank". Very bright indeed...

The event of the year has arrived(no..not christmas!) - PLACEBO LIVE!!!
I got in town around 6:30pm and met up with Kat and Cass(if it weren't
for them I wouldn't have had my ticket-You guys rock!). We went to mcdonalds
for our dinner, and learnt that they actually shut then. I put my order
in..and about 15/20mins later I got it..seems they gave my burger to someone
else...thanks muchly! Always appreciated..then we headed to the venue
which already had a fairly largish queue. I had been rather concerned
on just how exactly I was going to get in...until today I hadn't much
luck getting into gigs..I'd given up. But to prove me wrong..I got in
without a prob..I dont think the guy even looked at my ID. I decided not
to get a tour shirt right away..i have this habit for losing things..but
at the end they were all sold so i settled on a band shirt..i always wanted
wings!! I'll write more on the concert under "Reviews".
