"Staring in her face, I see a past that still haunts me,
The road where we split up is paved with the things I didn't say,
We had wonderful times, but terrible timing,
Now just leave her alone, I'll just be in the way."
Edwin McCain

Holy Sh*t! That's just about the words that come to mind to describe our recent trip to California. After arriving in Sacramento, we drove to Le Grand, California for a cookout and all around fun day on The Humpz and Hornz Ranch,a working cattle ranch. We ate, rode horses, shot skeet, watched a beautiful sunset and that we shared with some beautiful people and some great friends.

Later that night we travelled to Fresno, California where our rooms were located. On Friday, we got up and drove to the Maraposa Sequoia Grove where we enjoyed some beautiful scenery. But alas, we had to return entirely too quickly to get ready to play at the Table Mountain Casino later that evening. The next day, Saturday, my wife Rhonda and I returned to the Yosemite National Park to visit one of America's most beautiful wonders. We were witness to beautiful waterfalls, huge granite mountains and cliffs, green meadows of deer, giant redwood groves and snow-capped mountain tops that were still spectacular, even in June. The rest of the crew decided to sleep in that day since I was determined to leave for Yosemite at 4:00 a.m. I took many more pictures than this website can handle, but just take my word for it, it was breathtaking and we have already determined to make a return trip when time will allow.

After returning to the motel for a quick shower and change of clothes, we all headed out to Maraposa, California where we were to be the entertainment after the Humpz and Hornz Rodeo. We watched incredible displays of horse control with the flag carriers, daring rides from the bullriders, brave clowns that risked their own safety to rescue the fallen bullriders and an awe-inspiring freestyle motocross display that showed the skills of the Metal Mulisha. When all was said and done, we hit the stage to a large and energetic crowd that kept us going 'til late in the morning. We were spent. We then loaded up and travelled back to the motel to get some rest, for we still had another show at the casino on Sunday.

We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Wes, Stacey, Kathy, Daniel and Joe who took such wonderful care of us and for whom all of this was possible. You are incredible hosts and your generosity is revered and loved by us all. To the folks at Table Mountain Casino , we thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to perform for your patrons and staff. We hope that this is the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship. And to Horseshoes' Saloon for allowing us the time off to follow our hearts and dreams, you will always be home to Hasty Street. And a very special thanks to our friends Scott Said and Back Roads for filling in for us and entertaining our fans, friends and family with such incredible talent and passion for the music. You guys are fantastic and we love you.

We took a night off from our home base this past Saturday to hit Brodhead, Kentucky and headline their Homecoming Festival. Other than a few power glitches, which we have grown accustom to, it went off flawlessly. Special thanks to the Medley Boys for their outstanding work and dedication to pulling this show together and treating us so well. We had a fantastic time playing for some very enthusiastic fans, friends and family, and we cannot wait to return for another round of good old southern hospitality.

Well, we are back in the recording studio once again, re-recording our first all original cd. Our first attempt fell through when negotiations with the previous studio for time slots fell through. We are happy to say that this new venture is running smoothly so far and we are making a lot of progress quickly. A running photo diary of our studio time will be listed here:

This Tuesday night ritual is becoming quite addictive as we get to lay down the tracks that we want to hear on disc, and it is so relaxed that the only pressures we have are the ones we place on ourselves. Producer Randy Hayes has become a friend and mentor to us all, and it doesn't hurt to see those gold records hanging on the wall for inspiration. Keep checking in weekly as we will add new photos as we get them. Keep your fingers crossed for this whole damn thing to keep on track and sounding so f#@king great!!
