10/18
The band competed against 12 other bands from around the state at the Chilton County Marching Festival. The band received all superior ratings and was awarded the Best in Class Band Award. This is a great accomplishment and I am very proud of what we have accomplished this season.

We are currently preparing for our Christmas Concert on December 14th at 7:00 p.m. Please come and support us as we make the difficult transition from marching band to concert band. Also, congratulations to Daniel Warren, Drew Bradshaw, and Ryan Kleysteuber for participating in the UAB Junior High Honor Band.

We are currently preparing for our Christmas Concert tomorrow night. Congratulations to Richard Roy and Athenee' Sterling for participating in the UAB High School Honor Band. More information regarding our spring trip will be sent out next week.

Congratulations to the members of the band for having a superior performance at District Contest. You are continuing the fine tradition that has been part of the Calera High School Band for many years. Congratulations also goes to Brad Hilburn and Richard Roy for their participation in the University of Alabama and the Auburn Universtiy Honor Bands. Stay tuned for details regarding the Spring Trip and State Contest!
