1) You spin brooms/mops/etc.
2) There are all sorts of marks on the ceiling of your room from your equipment.
3) Your hands are permanently black and blue.
4) You name your drill spots. (eg. bowtie, boobs, etc.)
5) You've gotten undressed in the band room.
6) Anyone who can throw a piece of wood with a strap 100 feet in the air and catch it becomes your idol.
7) You can do your hair and make-up anywhere.
8) Glitter is a staple.
9) Your hair is permanently separated by a red sun-burn stripe from your braids.
10) You can arm wrestle anyone and win.
11) When you catch yourself switching feet to get back on-step with the background music in the mall
12) You have a flag calus on your right palm under your small finger.
13) You can smile genuinely on command.
14) You know nothing is ever definite.
         and the last but not least way to tell you're in guard....
15) You've left more bruises on band members than on yourself, and are proud of it!
