Skateristic 420 came together in the summer of '98. It was alot of hard work at first but once everyone settled in, it was a smooth ride on out. My name is Brittany and I'm the owner of the band. When I first started thinking of making a band I was aboout 11 years old. I was so obsessed with music and other bands that I wanted to have my own band. I've lived in the same town for my whole life and I just want to get out of here. And with a band I could do it. So I started thinking of how I could do this. So one day I called up my best friend Josh and asked him if he wanted to start a band with me and he was like sure why not. So we got together and started practicing together at frist but then we needed a drummer so we thought of all people we knew and we came up with Jake Greshem in the beginning. Then we started practicing with him a few times and figured that it wasn't working with Jake so we called up Troy who is still our drummer, and had him come in and practice a few times with us and after the frist two practices we knew that he was the one to stay. After that we started to play songs together from other bands before we started making our own songs. We sounded great and we all loved our sound. At first we were an alternative band full of power but then as time changed we grew into liking punk music and stuff like that. So we started making our own music and lyrics and made our first cd in the summer of '98 when we first made a Pact that we were going to stay together and do this whole band career until we died. And guess what... we're still together. So then about the winter of '99 our friend mike who wanted just to be in our band some how (who has no special talents) so we made him our dj. The one who organizes our music and puts the cds together for us and all. So we were together for awhile just Mike, Josh, Troy and I. Then came along Stacy and her keyboard. (Although sad news she is now quiting the band). She wanted to play with us so bad so we let her in although we never really needed her. She mostly just came up with the lyrics to our songs. But now we've made it this far and we've been together now for two years we want to go on the road.... on tour to do shows. Right now we have like 2 gigs a month cause we aren't that popular and plus I am having trouble with my life in keeping with the band. We haven't gotten any cds out yet because we aren't that popular yet but this year we are going to try really hard to become known more than we are at the moment. Another thing our Dj Mike sadly has to quit the band next month because he's moving out of state and plus he was thinking about quiting anyways. BYE MIKE!!! We'll miss you!
