The Saga of a bass player

You all listen to music. You all like rock bands, don't you? You all know your favorite lead singer's name, favorite guitar player, and drummer. But there's always that other guy that's too damn unimprtant to mention. That guy twangin on a 4-string guitar (what's wrong? did he lose his other strings?) FXCK NO!! He's playin' bass. that's right, a bass guitar. Now your all thinkin' "oh yea I've seen the guy with the word bass next to his name inside my KoRn booklet or Limp booklet." But can you possibly remember who they are? what they look like? what kind of clothes they wear? MOTHAFXCK NO!!! You can't remember crap about them. You can remember all the Electric guitar riffs and melodies from all those hit songs right? You're thinkin', "their bass isnt loud enough for me to hear, that's why i dont pay attention." You don't understand that their guitars are just as loud if not more than a regular. Now you say, " But they only play like one note every five seconds." You people can't come up with enough excuses to save you life let alone know about a bass player. Download some nirvana songs. Krist Novoselic is playing melody in lots of places!!! So now you wanna know, "well, why do you care?" I care because i am a bass player myself(not pro but still a bass player). Do you wanna know what they go through on the stage? They have just as much of a personality as the others. They are just as obnixious as the rest of the band, the rest of our world and you or I. But they try and get up on the mic and try to say something. The people that sit there yell at them and throw shxt. Even on the NIRVANA tape, they're yellin shut the fxck up at krist in german. Fxckin nazis(no offense to german ppl). They just go off to the side and play. Then even in music videos, the bass player is least shown. In the Slipknot "wait and bleed" video, he's shown like once and not even for a second. Shows how much you people care about us. The only bass player i can say is pioneerig for us is Mark Hoppus from Blink 182(rock on, Mark). Krist Novolselic is probably the best bass player though. He's holdin' it down while Kurt's doin some wierd shxt all the time. But you don't know how much we get neglected. Even when MTV had their "Do What?" weekend, when people were asked who their favorite bass player was, out of 26 people, only 2 even knew what a bass player was. And another thing, why is it that consistently, in most bands, there's 2-3 guitar players and 1 bass player? And What the Fxck was up in the 60's? That was the only time there was more than 1 bass player. But the other guy was playing a regular guitar but playing the bass part? Were they too Fxckin ashamed to call themselves partial bass players? Fxck them!! Are we not imprtant enough? What if we all went rebel on your asses and left the guitar players and drummers alone? Bass players keep the tempo and all that shxt!!! Every band would fall apart and break up without us. If you even knew how important we are to bands, you would appreciate us more!!! But until then, give it some thought and think about how imprtant we are to your pathetic lives.
