Folks in the music business know, there is more to recording and receiving air play than simply going into
the studio and sending your songs off to radio. No one knows that better than Angela Roberts. Angela
works as the band’s publicist, receptionist, public relations representative, promo agent, and tracker. Angela contacts
every “country” music director in Canada weekly following the release of a single for a minimum of eight
weeks. It’s hard work and long hours, but Angela knows it’s imperative in order for the band to consistently
chart on the Can Country charts.
Overseas, Angela’s connections both in Europe, and the UK,
have made the Darrell Roberts band well known and popular, receiving air play, and chart standings in
over twenty countries including Australia and New Zealand. Between time zones, and language barriers,
Angela somehow manages to get the albums to the stations, and keep in touch with the DJ’s in order for
the band to chart.
Even with the responsibility of keeping the band on the air, Angela still has time to play
the drums.With the new single, “Faithfully in love with you” soon to be released world wide, Angela is
sure to be one busy lady!
