The L.K.C.'s are a 7-piece band out of Pensacola Florida. The band was formerly Known as the Metros but decided a name change was due. Mainly considered A ska outfit, The L.K.C.'s borrow elements of punk, reggae, and occasionally 80's metal. The band takes pride in their diverse interests and tries to Incorporate a little bit of all of them into their sound. With high energy front men, hard driving rhythm section, and Rocking horn section that keeps any crowd dancing, the L.K.C.'s only goal is to make Every show a good time. Given the response they've been getting, it works!

Disenchanted with their dead-end projects at the time, John Sission, Josh Taylor, and David Mitchell formed the Band in late 1998. The Trio would get together to jam at every opportunity and wrote many of the Songs they play today during those first few sessions. Few rehersals into it, convinced they had something special going on, they decided to enlist more members and bring the band to its Fullest potential. John carried on...on the Bass and Vocals, David with the Drums, and Josh kept singing but moved from Guitar to the Trumpet. Ben Allen joined on guitar soon after they enlisted T. J. Wallen on Trombone. And Daniel Givens joined shorty afterward into the line-up on the alto saxophone.

Many regional tours, road trips, and countless local shows later the L.K.C.'s are a rocking force in the massive Florida subculture. They're 8 song EP "The Baby-Sitter's Dead"(sold under the name "the Metros") has sold out every pressing. The L.K.C.'s have played with some of the bigger musical acts of their genre Such as: Mustard Plug, The Slackers, Ednas Goldfish, MU330, Link 80, Pain, and Less than Jake. With everything going for them including a new C.D. "Insert the Name of the New C.D. here Bonnie...DAMMITT!" the Lesser Known Characters stand poised and ready to rock on into The new millennium!
