July 5, 2000 11:00 PM EST: Hey guys! Waz up? Well, I've been getting a lot of e-mail lately about the Hanson thing - scroll up and read the rules so far. I really don't have anymore info on that until the tickets go on sale. Aiiright? Aiiright! (That's Alright). Everyone who posted in the message box and left an e-mail address should have gotten an e-mail back, except for one girl - it said that you gave us the wrong e-mail address. Also if you leave a Private message that's fine, but other viewers please don't try to hack into the system. That's just rude, aiiright? Aiiright! Well I'm really starting to get proud of this site. We have one more thing that's going up that will be added to the poll once I start taking stuff off it to work on it. Sound wavs will be done on my Aunt's computer LIVE on her new microphone thing...AH! We'll have to share a mic, lol! Hopefully, it will sound alright. If it sounds fuzzy then we'll try to find another way to get you sound wavs, but those will go up! Okay? Okay! (I couldn't do another 'aiiright' :)!) Not sure about what songs we'll be doing. August 23, 2000 3:10 PM EST: AH! The site had a major problem and all my other current update messages were deleted! That majorly blows. Well for anyone that didn't see the other message: Amaya is currently out of Fire And Ice. Chloé and I being the original two members being together for 4 years (Amaya was part of the group for 2 and a half) have decided to try the group as a duet again. However we are looking for a female guitarist with a 2nd soprano/1st soprano voice in the Georgia area. Amaya might be back later, but I doubt it. She's having a lot of personal problems right now. So she's unable to be in the group. So her bio page is gone, and she's gone from the animated movie at the top. She'll be in some of the pictures, but she won't have anymore of her picture pages. She's still friends with us though. It's all cool. I'm making us an appointment for the studio. When the indie album is out if you want a copy just ask for one. There will be a minor charge for S&H and the cost of a CD to copy it on. Cassettes will be slightly cheaper. Oh, and special thanks to everyone who voted in our poll! The final results were 116/258 votes for "Hang with Fire And Ice Contest," and we really appreciate everyone that voted for meeting and hanging with us. Also thanks to everyone who approached Chloé and I at the Hanson concert. October 2, 2000 10:58 PM EST: Hey peeps! It's Jacki. I know, I know - Where are the updates/renovations? Look! I am so sorry. I am just so exhausted, and I have a lot of stuff going on both in school and with the band that keep me going 24/7. So we're going to have to halt the revisions for a while. Let me tell you my school schedule that will conflict with this site - tomorrow (Tuesday), I have a writing exam which determines whether or not I pass highschool so I need to get my sleep done. Wednesday, I have a whole lot of Chem to do and a project in French due - fun, fun, oui? Then Thursday and Friday I have a huge AP US History that will take two class periods to do. That's about a 2 hour test, and we only get 4 tests the whole year so each one counts. Then Friday, Saturday, and Sunday it's Fire And Ice. Not to mention that we have to converse daily and discuss what's going on in the group. We're working on a new set list for our performances. The one song we are really psyched about is actually a cover, "Eternal Flame" by the Bangles. If you haven't heard it then don't worry you will when we get the wav up. Some tidbits of info you might like to know - We are busily working on getting more MP3s to you guys, but these are going to be the full length songs - NOT JUST CLIPS OF THE CHORUS! I am looking into getting another place to store our wavs. : ) After we get the 6 covers and the 5 Christmas songs added (We are also redoing "Can't Fight The Moonlight), we are going to start recording our own songs which will be spotlighted on Lycos. November 1, 2000 1:16 PM EST: Hey guys! Waz up? Just signed on real quickly to give you a quick overview of what is going on. Scheduled Appearances has been updated, and I'd also like to give a shoutout to our contest winner, Alicia. Alicia won the 'Hang with Fire And Ice' contest. Another contest coming soon, but at the moment - NO NEW CONTEST! The next one will be raffles though, and 'Win A Personalized Fire And Ice Autograph' (the autograph one will be free to participate in). Once again I'd like to thank everyone who participates in our contest showing their support for the group. Some ideas of raffles will be giving away signed Hanson posters, a Britney Spears cardboard cutout stand, and some 'N Sync cardboard flats from a promotional thing they did with Nabisco. All of these are very rare and authentic and will be raffled off here to anyone who is interested in participating. I haven't decided on a set price for raffle tickets, but I will tell you where the raffling money is going to: Buying new equipment and studio time. Also we're looking into getting a Fire And Ice store up and running, but we are looking for a way to make the stuff relatively cheap and reasonable. I found one company who would help to produce t-shirts, hats, etc., but they were too expensive! And I don't want anyone paying $30 for a Fire And Ice shirt!!! So I'll continue looking into that. We got to record two wavs that I will have my awesome friend, Jenni convert to MP3s and they will be up on the site as soon as possible. One of them is us doing the chorus of 'MMMBop' a cappella, and to my boys if you're reading this - No offense, but we sound better than you guys. lol. Also Melissa, I replied to your message in the Guest Book about the rumors of Fire And Ice dating Hanson that has reached NY, and girl, you need to get an email address. I need to talk to you. Just curious how this rumor is spreading. Many of you probably saw us in their hotel with them or something...I don't know. ANYWAY! I should be getting back my main computer tomorrow and I'm going to get the Greeting Cards up...at least one or two of them. December 16, 2000 8:05 PM EST: Hey peeps! As you might have noticed I've been working on the site slowly, but surely. There are some more pictures on the Group Pictures section (including pool pictures), and I've also revamped my pictures a bit. Some of the links weren't working, and I fixed them, and there are a few new ones. More Amaya pictures to come! It's just I haven't had the time to work on all of them. More group pictures to come, and don't forget the Greeting Cards! This week is just going to be a little hectic because it's my last week of school before the Holiday Break. Also if you're wondering about the whole Rachel situation and the rude people who have been signing the guestbook - an explanation is coming. However, I don't think any of them will be bothering the guestbook anymore. Any person who signs the guestbook to harass has been reported, and I would suggest they not do it again. March 18, 2001 3:32 PM EST: Hey guys! Waz up? Okay first off, if you look at the top of every page we have a new border to our banner, and it has a little dollie picture of us. Credz to our fan, EmC for making the dollies that I pasted on the background. I am working on some banners for people to use to link our site to theres, and if you use our banner than we will provide a link from our site to yours. Also we've been asked when we are going to come to Tulsa, OK & Texas. The answer for now is this Summer. However, we are not swearing to this due to our involvement in several contests and our recording in the studio, etc. You never know when something might spring up, but we are eager to meet our fans in that area (esp. Emily, Lind-Zay, & Amy :) who have shown us so much love and support), hang with the Big Ol' J, and probably do a show - For now though, keep checking the Scheduled Appearance section on the Fans' Page for updates. March 27, 2001 10:20 PM EST: Hey guys! Okay, first off, we changed the border for the banner that appears at the top of every page AGAIN! Oh, and Chloé now has 11 picture pages, but you have to hit on the button more links to get to page 11. Sorry for this inconvenience, but I will be changing the setup of the Picture Index as soon as I get the chance. But be sure to check out the new pictures of Chloé because they show her new hair color! Also if you've been dying to hear us sing then subby to the Smudge and we have sent them a 30 second wav of us singing "He Loves You Not." That will be sent out with our Official Newsie in April, but to hear it first - Subby to the Smudge. More pictures of Jacki will be put up probably tomorrow - not sure. April 7, 2001 2:34 PM EST: Hey everyone! Sorry for the delays on all the updates, but we have been absolutely swamped this past week and I promise I will get the rest of the new pictures up soon. Also I am redoing the layouts on a bunch of the pages. This layout worked for this site when there really wasn't a lot of information or stuff to look at, but now it's no good. Chloé is really against frames, and truthfully, I don't have time to make a frames and non-frames version of this site. So I am going to use tables, I believe. I have a bunch of the codes and I'm going to look into how the site would look with tables. I'm not sure how many pages I'm going to use tables on - probably just the main page, the sounds & lyrics main page, and the news page. I think the rest are fine without, but we'll see. Also a friend of ours might do a professional site for us. We've had a few offers - most of which were free, and nothing against anyone who did offer, but this guy has become a really great friend recently and he's a great artist and I'm just really psyched to see what he will come up with. Fireandicesynergy.com will still direct you to this site, but he will have another name that will direct you to that site. More information on that name later, until then - enjoy this site!!! I know how much you guys have missed seeing updates on this page, but guess what? Some updates are actually coming your way!!! Um, I am redoing my bio page, and I'm not sure, but Amaya and Chloé may chose to redo theirs. Also we are looking into promoting in Tulsa, OK and Dallas, TX. June 10, 2001 3:23 PM EST: Hey guys! WHASSUP?!? So many site updates have been coming in the past few days that it's hard to keep up. The main page is going under some major construction, so expect it to be different just about everyday until I'm satisfied with it. What else? Oh, the picture pages are undergoing some major construction. I am also looking into new backgrounds for certain pages. I am working on a new layout for the news page. I still have to fix the Greeting Cards, etc. etc.!!! So much to update, so little time. Also I plan on revamping the Bio Pages - They do have a relatively new look, except for the group bio which I'm working on. Our beautiful publicist, Kiki may have actually found us a gig (she kicks such butt) singing the national anthem at a soccer game in Georgia. It's going to be cool *crosses fingers*, but first I need to decide how I'm going to seperate everything. I have two different ideas, and I'm not sure which one I'm going to use. I think I'm still going to put the links in the same section they are now just they are going to be more compact because right now there are just way too many! So that's what I am working on right now. Also today I have to run down and go look at the pictures from the shoot. So be expecting new group pictures up soon - Thank goodness! The latest ish of the Smudge came out yesterday, and Amaya's diary entry is available in the Smudge Archive. The three of us are gathering everything together for our demo, and we have been getting a lot of interest from companies, managers, etc. We're very excited, and hope that you guys are too! Once this demo is done, it will be sent all over, and some indie-stations may play us, and some other major stations may too. July 26, 2001 12:44 PM EST: Hey everyone! The above post was editted because it took up too much space, and I didn't see anymore reason for it. Before I go into any business talk, I'd like to send a special thanks to all of you who told us that no one could ever make you change your opinions of us. You guys are really awesome people. We're proud to have you for our fans/supporters. Also I'd like to thank those that were willing to come back and apologize on the GB. It takes a really big person to admit they were wrong, and I hope you decide to stick around and check out our songs when they are released through the site. Don't worry about what was done in the past, that's the past. No hard feelings or anything. Oh, and for everyone that's looking for the posts they were deleted - sorry. The GB is still on moderated post for a while, but I don't think we're going to be having anymore trouble.
Anyway just so you guys know what is up on the Fire And Ice front, we have 2 out of the 4-6 songs for our first little demo/mini-indie record decided on. They are "Stronger Now" and "Heart" - at least I'm pretty sure that we're calling it "Heart." At first it was just something to refer to it by until we found a name, and it sorta stuck so... I guess it's called "Heart." Anyway be sure to voice to us how much you want to hear from us musically, by voting in the poll! You can find it on the Sounds & Lyrics page!
The following pages have been updated: Fans Page & Scheduled Appearances, and the Sounds & Lyrics Page. If you don't know where to find these than click on the button that says 'Search' and search for them. Also our guestbook has a new button picture to click on. I think it makes it stand out more. I also created 2 new pages: the 'Movies' page, but there are no movies on it yet; and the 'Reviews' page that is available through the Sounds & Lyrics Page. July 31, 2001 11:43 PM EST: Hey everyone! I've been working on the layouts for certain pages recently. So a lot of the pages look like brand new, and are a lot more organized, and less cluttered. I'm going to figure out something new for the updates section here, maybe a link that will bring you to a new page because the main page is getting pretty full as well. August 2, 2001 3:49 PM EST: Hey guys! It's Jacki of Fire And Ice, as usual. Yesterday the photo shoot went pretty well. We only took 1 roll's worth, but that's mostly because one of our biggest fans, Justin returned from Florida, and we all had to rush to Chuck E. Cheese's to welcome back to Atlanta the cutest little three year old boy! Did you guys know that you have to be 21 or over to get into C.E.C.?!? We got stopped at the door, and had to wait for Chloé's mom, Carol to show up with Justin before we could go inside. Eeek! Needless to say after we played video games, ate bad pizza, and hung out with Justin we did return to our photo shoot. Oh, and Amaya and I also decided that we have to have video games on the tour bus - hey, if Britney Spears can have a $6,000 tanning bed on her bus, then we can have a video game entertainment center on ours. lol. I'm going to go pick up the pictures in a little bit to look them over, and so expect them up on the site soon! We love you guys! ~ Jacki, Fire And Ice.
August 5, 2001 7:40 PM EST: Hey everyone! Sorry, it's been so long since I last updated... I know some of you were eager to see the new pictures. There is a new picture on the main page, and the main page has a new layout - AGAIN! I think it's good that's there is change though because a) it helps the page to load faster, and b) it makes the site more interesting. There is also a new banner available at the bottom of the main page. ALSO NEW PICTURES - Group pg. 9-10, Chloé - 12. August 11, 2001 3:12 PM EST: Hey everyone! So sorry that it's been a while since I last updated, but we've all been extremely busy. For those of you who were expecting to meet/see Amaya and I at 'N Sync at the GA Dome, then I'm sorry to tell you guys that we won't be there. Amaya lost our tickets.. So if you guys see anyone in F201 Row 29 Seats 1-3 - BEAT THEM UP FOR US! lol. J/K! However, Chloé might be there courtesy of Q100. (Chloé works for Q100 & 99X - 2 radio stations in Atlanta.) If she is there, she will be with the Q100 people before the show... in fact, she should already be there! Our demo is going to be out later this year. MP3s will be coming soon, and there is the possibility that the final demo/Indie album will contain more than 4 to 6 songs due to how many awesome songs we've written recently. We've been extremely busy recently, but we will be down this Friday at HiFi Buys Amphitheatre (formerly known as Lakewood Amp.) in Atlanta, GA at the Matchbox 20/Train concert promoting our band and Q100, thanks to Q100! lol. We're still working on new material - thanks so much for your patience. MP3s and Lyrics coming soon! Oh, and LOCALS music conf. has been cancelled, and Chloe and Amaya will be at BIG DAY OUT in Atlanta both days. Amaya will be in the LAWN somewhere, lol. September 4, 2001 5:58 PM EST: Hey everyone who's checking in to see what's up! Well, unfortunately, we've had to put a delay on our recording... It's okay though because we've gotten some positive news, and it looks like we're seriously going to go somewhere as soon as we get the demo/indie album done. However yesterday we almost lost forever, Amaya, in a car accident. Everyone who saw the wreck said it was truly an act of God that got the 3 of them (Amaya, Jenae, and their friend, Brad) out of that truck alive. So while Amaya recovers at home, we won't be able to be in the studio. We will still be working on the music, and keeping you guys up to date. Also I have no idea who nominated us for this 'People's Choice Awards' thing, but thanks. We'd appreciate all of you to just go to this site and vote for us. It will only take 2 seconds of your time and we will truly appreciate it. Oh, and if you are subscribed to our mailing list we will be sending out an issue very shortly. September 9, 2001 4:46 PM EST: Hey guys! Just a real quick update - thanks for all the people who have told us that they hope Amaya gets well soon. That's really sweet. We're still collecting letters/e-mails together so that I can give them to her in one big pile. So if you want to say anything just e-mail it to us . We are still working on stuff with the demo. Well anything we can do without actually recording because Amaya has to go through surgery and is on crutches.. so, we want to give her some more time to rest her ankle. New issue of the Smudge came out yesterday, and it's in the archive. Chloé & I saw Janet Jackson yesterday, and it was by far the best concert we have ever seen. Janet Jackson is amazing! We love you Janet! Moving on, we now own 2 domain names: www.fireandicesynergy.com & www.fireandiceline.com. None of lost family members, but I do have some friends who lost loved ones. Also my Uncle Frank has been down there since the tragedy first occured because he is head of the NY EMS/EMT, but we did get through to him and he is okay just worn out. Also it is a scary thought, but I could have lost family if the planes had hit a bit later, so my family and I are extremely lucky. Amaya also had an Uncle in Washington, but he is alright, as well as his wife and kids. However, if anyone needs to talk, any of us will be here for you, so feel free to e-mail us, IM us - whatever. Yesterday my mom was able to get in contact with some friends of hers that informed her that the McKean Family's father is still missing. He worked in the WTC. This is extremely sad figuring Erin, his daughter, was only 17 (my age), and his son, Ryan, was my little brother's age - not to mention my little brother's best friend. He also had another daughter who was in college. Our sympathy, thoughts, hearts, and prayers go out to the McKean's, and everyone else who was affected by the 9/11 tragedy...
