Walt Disney World: Fun by mike

Walt Disney World: Fun

Places I visited, on my Disney vacation. Magic Kingdom, Ebcot Center, and more. Shopping, entertainment, and fun stuff. Written from my vacation in 1993.

I remember visiting Disney world. The weather in Florida was warm and sunny, and if it rained, it usually only showered for a few minutes.

Typhoon Lagoon was a swimming area. There was a beach like, area there with a swim area that had a tidal wave machine, that made waves over four foot high. There was a water slide area, and a swamp like area where you could sit on a large inner tube, while the current pulled you around.

The Magic Kingdom looked like a big castle. It had a train ride that went around the outsides of the park. I saw Disney on Parade, with many of the Disney Characters in the parade. I saw, Its A Small World, with animated figures of people from different parts of the world. There were small shopping and gift stores along the street. I went on the Space Mountain, and Frontier land, rides.

I enjoyed Ebcot Center the most. The World of the Seas, had sharks, tuna, bluefish, weakfish, porgies, stingrays and other fish, that were in a huge aquarium tank. The GMAC exhibit center, showed cars from when they were invented, to present day. There was a large, model, space city; and cars of the future. The Communicore East Center had how life started, and how we live today, demonstrations. The Communicore West Center had how computers are used today, and how computers will be used in the future, demonstrations. The World Showcase, had different countries of the world, movies of different countries, and different kinds of restaurants. At night, they had laser and fireworks shows, with Disney music.

I liked MGM Studios; they showed how animated cartoons were made. You could also watch cartoons there. I saw celebrities, and other performers, there. You could see how movies were made, and directed. I saw scenes of the Love Bug, and the Golden Girls layout.

At Fort Wilderness, I saw The Harvey Girls, show; at a restaurant, called Hoop De Do.

Pleasure Island was a nite club, party area. At Mannequins, you could disco on a rotating floor. There were country, and rock and roll dance clubs there, also.
