The
halcyone days of my childhood…
Past time:
Music

Playing all sorts of
Musical instruments.
Piano ,organ, guitar,
Cello, Gu Zheng,
Yang Qing.
Winnie has great
Gusto
for music but she
is
Jack of All trade but
Master of None.
Painting
Water Colour, Poster
Colour, Chinese Art,
Landscaping, Sketches
( won a few prizes
in state competitions,
and School Competitions)
Winnie knew that Painting
Hardly earns her a living.
She could only be amateur
in painting and find
something else as her
profession in the future.
Pets
Rabbits, Dogs, fish, little
chicks, didn’t have
Guinea pigs but
loves experimenting with
cooking
and baking cakes
and made people her
Guinea pigs.
Keeping Diaries Planting
Winnie’s intimate friends are her diaries. loves gardening and digging the soil.
She was a
collector maniac for whatever stuff In the evenings, Winnie would let her dogs
to stick in her diaries. Feathers, blood, running around in the garden and peeing on
seeds,
finger nails etc. Her diaries came
the plants. There was one baby X’mas
to be
very useful when she traced her lost
tree planted by Winnie in the garden now
watch or misplaced belongings.
has grown up taller than her.
Everyday
she recorded whatever she did
and
whatever things happened around her.

Unfortunately, when the house was sold,
Her mum
had thrown away all her diaries
not
knowing that they are precious to her.
Albeit
the incomplete of the record of her
Diaries,
Winnie believed that she could keep
A new set
of diaries to account for the next
Stage of
her life.
Winnie had a couple of boon companions
During
schooling but she never felt at ease
Mixing in a large group. She’s never good
In playing outdoor games like hide and
seek,
‘one leg’
or a kind of game played by using joined rubber
Bands hold by two people and you have to
Cross over through high jump or banding
your
Back.
Usually, she preferred indoor activities
Like playing Chinese Chess, ‘Monopoly’,
‘Cluedo’, ‘Risk’, Cooking and singing.
Pen pals
Winnie has a
few Pen pals from overseas eg.
Findland, Australia, United States. They
exchanged
Flowers, stickers, photo’s , sweets, coins
and
Stamps. Every mornings, she would check the
post
Box to see if there were any letters for
her.
