One of the many fossil casts provided by The Smithsonian National Museum
This particular fossil came to the RockSolid Design studio in many pieces
that needed to be assembled, embedded and prepared for inlay on site.

A freestanding obelisk was created to display the names of the major contributors to the Wilderness Center.

A back-lit exhibit case was designed into the north end of the exhibit to display
images of microfossils found in the precambrian layers.
Some of the fossils collected for the project are on display in the lower box.

A Key to the Fossil Wall, with interepretive information about each fossil, is available at the Wilderness Center.
