The rank&duties structuer of VMF-114 is based upon the UNINTED STATES MARINE CORPS during WWII

1. Commanding Officer (CO)-Lt.Col Overall responsibitity for the operation of the squadron.

2. Executive Officer (XO)-Maj. Second in command of his squadron element of MAG 11,and supervises his squadrons staff section.Additionally the XO is the Officer that acts as the coordinator for funcfions that require the CO'S attention/action.

3. S-1 Officer(Addmin/Personel) 1st.Lt The squadrons S-1 Officer coordinates and maintains the squadrons administrative,and personel files.This Officer will also maintain the squadrons historical logan preform any additional duties as directed by the CO/XO.

4. S-2 Officer (INTEL/Officer) Capt. The S-2 Officer is responsible for the intellengce gathering efforts for the squadron as directed by the CO an will coordinate his efforts with the S-3 Officer in combat mission planing. This Officer will also preform any additional duties as directed by the CO/XO.

5. S-3 Officer (Op's/Trng Officer) Maj. The S-3 Officer is responsible for all combat operations as directed by the squad CO.The S-3 is also responsible for the training and qualification of all his squadron pilots. The S-3 will also plan organize and publish the squadron weekly training schedule.The training schedule will be posted no later than 3 days prior to training .The S-3 will provide to the CO and XO a after action report on combat missions and a training report will be posted on the squadron message board for all hands to review.

6. S-4 Officer (Logistics/Mant) Capt.The S-4 Officer is responsible for the maintaining of updates for cfs2 as they relate to the ability of MAG 11 to accomplish its mission in combat. This duty requires the S-4 to be current in the knowledge in repaints,mission buildingand to stay abrest of the latest downloads avadiable that will affect MAG 11's combat readiness.

7. Div/Ldr(s) (DivLdr) Capt. The Div/Ldr is responsible to the CO for the combat readiness of his division, an the conduct of his Marines. The Div/Ldr may conduct training of his division above an beyond that of the S-3 but will report the results to the S-3 in the form of a after action report

8. Sec/Ldr(s) (Sec/Ldr) 1st.Lt The section leadrers will assist their Div/Ldr with the operation an conduct of the division,an will act as second in command of the division.

9. Division & Section wingman 1st/2nd Lt.Will assist there respective leaders and follow all orders that maybe given to them.These Officers will maintain themselves in a combat ready status at all times.

10.2nd Lt's wil be responsible for completing all flight training ,and attending all training sessions as scheduled by the squadron ordersand under the supervision of the S-3 Officer or his representive.
