with ACRi’s CFD Software as the global solution for
CFD Problems across the world. ACRi develops and markets
a family of versatile CFD tools that are widely used By
leading organizations and universities. The present
acrShell, our GUI for ANSWER, PORFLOW, and TIDAL
software has to be converted fully into java
application. The challenge here is the software tools
and the commands syntax keep changing on a daily basis,
and we have to modify and/ or change the appropriate
forms very quickly. So we worked to make our GUI easily
extensible i.e., additional menu items and wizard pages
may be developed and added by us or by our clients
without having to recompile or upgrade the acrShell.
Then creation of Help manuals as well software tutorials
using JavaHelp and other technical writers technologies.
Role and responsibilities: As a programmer, I was
responsible for development of following modules:
GUI Development: Creation of easy to use and manipulate
Graphics User Interface for the web compatibility of
Company’s Software tools with the help of Java Swing
and Awt components.
JavaHelp Creation for Software: Developing the JavaHelp
for the software package. Based on Sun Java’s Help
system it provides the online help manuals for the
comfortable usage and tutorials for the software. Generated
with the help of tools like Java Swing and
Java Help software from Sun Microsystems, it provides
unique and easy manipulation of Software for the common
user.
