STATIONTOSTATION
INTERESTINGFACTS
The front cover of the ‘Station to Station’ LP, which features a black and white still from ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth,’ was originally supposed to have a full colour sleeve. Bowie thought that the sky in the original photo looked too fake!

'Station to Station' was originally to be called ‘The Return of the Thin White Duke’ or ‘The Golden Years’.

Bowie's outfit for the Duke was actually inspired by guitarist Ronnie Wood (formerly of The Faces).

Bowie is alleged to have thrown a genuine Nazi salute in Berlin for photographer Andrew Kent on the promise that the picture would never be made public.
