Tommy Page has recently scored several top 10 hits on the local Dj charts. Check the Dance Beat Top 40 for the current club climber "Dance To The Beat Of My Heart" from the currently unreleased "Ten Til Midnight" cd. The dj chart also saw "Right On Time" and "Kissing In The Rain" both reach #1 in 2001 and the way "Dance To The Beat Of My Heart" is climbing, it looks to repeat that tradition. There's also sound samples of the track and many other dance club competitors in real audio & mp3 format.

Tommy Page was born Thomas Alden Page on May 24, 1970 in West Caldwell, New Jersy. Working as a coat checker in a night club, Tommy was "discovered" by Mark Kamins (who "discovered" Madonna).
Tommy signed to Sire/Warner Brothers Records and recorded his self-titled debut album which included the lead-off disco/dance single "TURNING ME ON," the adult contemporary smash follow-up "A SHOULDER TO CRY ON," which not only became his signature song, but also became his first American top 40 hit.
Following the success of that came the next dance track single "A ZILLION KISSES."

Tommy's next album was more pop-ballad oriented entitled "PAINTINGS IN MY MIND," which included the singles "When I Dream Of You, Turn On The Radio, & Don't Give Up On Love (A Duet with Freestyle siren Safire)."
But the most successful single from the album came with the New Kids On The Block collaborators Jordan Knight, Danny Wood & Donnie Wahlberg on the #1 Billboard Singles Chart "I'll Be Your Everything." (A collaboration which would forever link as a teeny-bopper teen-idol.)

Following on the heels of that successful album came Tommy's most lushly produced album to that date. (So far the final album produced & sold in America). "FROM THE HEART" showcased yet more of his songwriting and producing ability, but also featured several songs written by songwriter Diane Warren, a background vocal track on the lead-off single "WHENEVER YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES" by Michael Bolton, and a daring and justifiably done cover of the Eric Carmen treasure "NEVER GONNA FALL IN LOVE AGAIN, a melancholy track that showed the vulnerability in Tommy's vocals superbly.

"REPUBLIC OF IDOLS, A FRIEND TO RELY ON, TIME, & LOVING YOU" were all released in the Far East & Asian markets, the first two on the Sire/Warner Brothers label, and the two latter on the Pony Canyon Records label. All four featured Tommy's legendary vocals blending with lush production, flawless writing talent and superb melodies & harmonies. Due to a lack of proper promotion and decline in the music industry for credible vocal work, Tommy's career has become low-profile in America. Not true for the far east, where Tommy plays to sell-out crowds at major stadiums and constantly earns metal awards for album sales. Proving (at least in Asia) that music with heart & soul does sell to an ever growing and devoted public.

Tommy has also performed for several Motion Picture Soundtracks including "DICK TRACY," "SHAG", & "COOKIE."
Also, some casual Tommy fans may recall his duet with Safire on "Don't Give Up On Love" from his "PAINTINGS IN MY MIND" album, but what some may not know or have forgotten was that the duo teamed up together to form and produce the house/dance club group La Casa for Sire/Warner Brothers Records in 1993. The dance act fronted by Allan Edwards and Dacia Palmer on vocals with Tommy Page & Safire on production by the alias Cosmic Page. The act recorded the cuts "SHOW ME THE WAY," "DANCE TO MY MUSIC" & "GET TO YOU." The latter being the only single from the quartet.

His latest cd is an unoffical cd that made headlines at the online auction site Ebay.
A return to the sound his of his first album, a full-on embrace of dance club music entitled Ten Til Midnight, one seller auctioned off a mystery copy and fans bid fast and furious to get their hands on this copy. You can check out that history making bid page by clicking here. A definite sign of proof how fiercely loyal (or outright insane) some of Tommy's devoted fans can be! :)
