Comic Con 2006 - Tim and Nephew Alexis, with a Clonetrooper

Hi There. My name is Tim Hollems, I was born February 9th, 1970 at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in L.A. County, California. I am the middle child of two siblings, a younger brother, and an older sister. I attended Monrovia High School, in the city of Monrovia, but unfortunately I dropped out in the 12th grade, and didn't graduate in 1988, like I should have. I am planning to attend College of the Canyons, in Santa Clarita soon. I have a friend who attended College of the Canyons, and recommends me to enroll.

In September of 1988, I found my first job working for Taco Bell, it wasn't the most exciting job, but it was okay. I worked there for seven months part-time. Than in 1992, I moved with my Dad, Mom, and Brother to the city of Azusa, and than a year later in November of 1993, I was employed at Play Co. Toys in San Dimas, where Raging Waters is located. I was there only five months, due to the store going out of business. I had lots of fun, and it helped me out. I didn't find work again, until 1996, when I was employed at K-Mart in Covina, and I was there for 12 months. I worked durning the day on the salesfloor, stocking merchandise and helping customers. It wasn't all that hard, because business was hardly heavy, so my job was quite fun and easy.

That spring, me and my dad had to move, so he could have a shorter drive to work, which was in La Cresentra, so we moved to Santa Clarita, It was still a long drive, but a shorter distance by a few miles. He chose Santa Clarita, for it's beautiful landscapes, scenery, and it's expanding shopping, and home development. In July of 1997, I was employed at Wal*Mart, and worked there until November 1999, I had the best time, meant some great people, made friends, and enjoyed my experiences there. I worked durning the day covering both Hardware and Toys, and alot of the time I would help customers with paint, and mixxing it in the machine mixer to their choice of color. It was actually alot of fun even though it took awhile for me to get the hang of it. Always busy, and always alot to do. Unfortunately, I was terminated after walking off the job one night over frustration. It was a mistake I would soon regret, because I was out of work for awhile. I than worked for a short time at Staples, and than in the fall of 2001, I was employed at Target, in Valencia, and worked there until September of 2003, when I made another mistake by quitting. I had met so many good people, made some great acquaintances & friends. After months and months of unemployment, I finally found work again in August 2004 at the Target in Granada Hills, of all places, as an Auto Puller / Backstocker once again. It was quite different than the Valencia store, where the main stockroom was split up in two sections, separating team members from the offices and breakroom area. The receiving area was obviously separated from the main stockroom, but seemed smaller. It's great to have been working at that store, and making an income, And I won't be making anymore mistakes like I had done with my two previous jobs, because it doesn't make anything better.

In January 2007, the Granada Hills store #0287 was torn down to be replaced with a newer store, which is planned to open in September or October. I was working at the Target in Northridge, which is only ten more blocks down Balboa Blvd from the Granada Hills store. The drive takes an additional ten minutes. I did use additional gas though. Once the new Granada Hills store opened in October 2007, I transferred back, and worked there until August 2008, when I decided to quit, but used proper procedures and turned in my discount card, signed papers, and spoke to HR. However, I never gave two-week notice, but at the time I wasn't expecting to quit, it just kind of happened with me, when I was unhappy with new implented polices, hours being cut, and smaller issues, that made me decide to leave, but now that I look back on what I had done, it was a big mistake, and I shouldn't have left over these things.

I am now employed with Crossroad Services, a company who helps hardware retailers (i.e. Home Depot, Orchard Supply Hardware), to do their merchandise resets. I have only been with the company for three weeks, and it's alot of hard work, but I do like the pay, and weekly checks, but the crazy hours, two different shifts and the driving around to various different stores every night, is something that has me questioning this job, especially driving all the way to Simi Valley, and working in another district. I am not sure what I will be doing, but still looking for other work at this time.

In my spare time, I'll usually spend time on the internet, reading up on the latest news on one of my hobbies, which is Star Wars. I am a toy collector, and I have a massive collection, which I begun in 1992. You can view a picture of my collection here. When online, I'll usually talk to family & friends, visit several of my favorite websites, work on projects, update my www.myspace.com/timghollems38 website, or when I'm not on the computer, I'll usually relax, and catch up on some reading, watch t.v., watch movies or play some video games, such as the Xbox. However, sometimes I play the PC verison of RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, with my expanded pack Wild, and all the downloaded extras I have. Another hobby of mine, is making movie newsletters and lists, keeping up with the latest releases. I will usually make them for my sister, keeping her informed what's new, and suitable for her three kids. I have a large dvd collection. I have 359 titles, which doesn't include the 20 or so miscellaneous music dvd's, documentaries, tv series, animated tv series (i.e. StarW ars: Ewoks Droids, Clone Wars)

Some of my favorite movies, are the Star Wars trilogy, including Attack of the Clones, Pirates of the Carribean, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Heartbreakers, Anywhere but Here, Where the Heart is, Titanic, There's something about Mary, Austin Powers, Tomb Raider, and The Matrix, 2 Fast, 2 Furious, Cold Mountain, Euro Trip, The Girl Next Door, Van Helsing, The Day After Tomorrow, Serendipity, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, 50 First Dates, Closer, among others. Some of my favorite actors & actress' are Natalie Portman, Keira Knightley, Katie Holmes, Jim Carrey, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sandra Bullock, Kurt Russell, Adam Sandler, Jack Nicholson, Harrison Ford, and Kevin Spacey, among others. I would have to say, my favorite t.v. shows, would have to be Friends, Party of Five, Beverly Hills 90210, Dawson's Creek, Miami Vice, MacGyver, Knight Rider, Star Trek, Stargate SG-1, and Three's Company. There are many new shows that I have wanted to watch, but at the moment, I don't have cable tv, due to an unpaid bill.
