With my heart in your hands"

"I wish I could turn you on like the radio
and make you sing my name all night long".

Written in the Hollywood Hills
at the lovely home of Bass Player and
musician extraordinare, Dan Rothchild.
We were hanging out one day playing
and he started playing this bassline.
within a few minutes we were well on our way
to writing this pop song.
Sometimes if I write alone, I write slow song
after slow song-writing with Dan,
you can't help but feel energetic.
This one came out quite easily with a couple
of lyric tweaks through the week.
Unrequited lust. This one all about meeting
someone who you know you'll never have a
chance with and handing her you heart anyway.
She didn't ask for it, she doesn't want it, but you go
ahead and wrap it up in a little box.
She tries to give it back to you gently, but
you leave it at her doorstep.
Finally after much prodding by you,
she stomps on it, in fact that's probably
what attracted you in the first place.
There are only so many times that you
can fall for someone who's completely
wrong for you...or are there?
