After a break away club was formed by some of its members, MAD struggled to continue with a limited attendance. The former Chairman resigned in February 2001, followed by the rest of the committee. The present committee took over in an attempt to prevent the club from folding, and MAD in its present incarnation has grown from strength to strength.

Our rapidly increasing membership includes single-dubbers, married-dubbers, family-dubbers as well as MAD-dubbers and those old enough to remember driving dubs as new cars!!

Since allowing water-cooled vehicles into the club we have a wide range of vehicles, old & new. We are a relaxed & friendly club, with all members taking part in the decision making process. After all, it's your club so you should have a say in what we do.

We generally meet once a month for a cruise, or to attend shows. These are great days out for all the family, providing the perfect opportunity to show off your pride & joy, as well as taking advantage of the technical expertise on hand from our more experienced members. In addition to this we organize numerous other special events throughout the year, including BBQs & parties, bowling & ice-skating.
