A 1999 study by Bailley, Kral & Dumham
found, for example, that suicide survivors, compared to survivors of persons who
had died from accidental, expected,
and unexpected causes, had heightened
feelings of responsibility and rejection,
greater difficulty making sense of the
death, and greater overall grief reactions.
