NEWS:

Well the festie season is complete as far as I am concerned, though there are camp events well on into October. Brrrr. Bit too cold for me!. ..........................................I enjoyed this summer, played a lot more and made some great contacts and played to new people. Deepest gratitude and kind wishes to all of you who were there for the encouragement and the listening. I have acquired a new guitar, which cost me all of £10, (at small world summer gathering) though I had to replace the machine heads and restring it. It's a beauty, great sound, perfect action. The angels again, I am sure. It's my official festie guitar. I have some new songs to record, and gigs to organise, because I wish to play and perform every week, to reach as many people as is possible in a small gig situation.. If you would like me to perform for you please do get in touch via email (see below on menu) , or recommend me to suitable venues in your area. Anywhere warm and intimate, maximum 100 people. As long as my expenses are covered I am cool with anything else above that.

I finished the festie season with Small World Summer Gathering (where I was barded, I am nominated Bard of IS!!) and Tribal Earth (which was such a relaxed weekend - it mended my season tattered body very well. relaxation at last... I had a cool time at the Big Green Gathering! Played a total of 12 gigs there; at Small World(3), Bedouin Cafe(3), Earth Heart(2), Green Forum(1), Planetary Art Network(2) and at The Gods and Godesses Cabaret(1). I got a lovely reception wherever I played, so a big thanks goes out to those who listened, and to the hosts of each venue where I played. THE BIG GREEN GATHERING is a truely beautiful event, with so much colour and diversity, it's got to be the best community event in the UK, it was laid out like a series of vilages linked by grassy paths bounded by hedgerows and tree lines. The weather was good, and the vibe so peaceful. Loads of children! Well done the GREEN FUTURES crew!

I played at the GOLDEN SYRUP TENT at THE GLADE DANCE FESTIVAL and yes I had a blindingly great time. I became their house band bass player, and performed 5 gigs there, as well playing the finale at EarthHeart, after all the sound stages had been closed at 8pm Sunday. We started off with a PA, and after three songs we were asked to go acoustic, so we did and it went on all night, I can tell you. Lovely event.... thanks to all of you happy, shiny people who made it such a good time for me, and for buying my cds, enjoy!! Glade festie photo's

The Newcastle Community Green Fair! On May 29,30, 31 ! WOW! Three glorious days of music in the centre of Newcastle, in Leazes Park. I engineered 22 bands and got to play a set too! The sun came out on Sunday afternoon just as I started to play the "cup of tea" song, and the people there were fantastic, big cheers to all you Geordies you made me feel very good on that stage. Big thanks to Will, Oran, Hilary, Helen, Gavin, Richard (sound system) Richard (stage manager), Chris, Mark, and all those other people who made this event such a sucess. And the Bands too! A great thank you to those who made it through. Sophie once again excelled in her provision of a delicious meal, generating a blessed silence whilst the food was being eaten. After dinner we settled in to a joyfully musical evening, full of beauty, laughter and playfullness. We recorded the evenings events and will be broadcasting that on the unity works internet radio. recent gigs: ACOUSTIC LIVINGROOM @ Unity WorksThe First Acoustic Sunday, of 2005 was on January 30th. It was a really enjoyable evening, with geust appearances from Shane and Phil for the open mic sections, and the bill of Astrid Brook, I Fly and Corneilius brought out the best in everyone. Astrid kicked off the main show, and held her audience spellbound with the beauty of her voice, and really enjoyed the stage. She left looking forward to her next appearance here on April 24th. I fly were in great form again, with this being their first full set since Andrew returned from Australia this month. They played a blindingly hot set, and made us all laugh with their clever repartee in between their songs. They have such a good dynamic on-stage. Corneilius Finished up with a set that came from the heart. He had been playing at gigs all weekend, and drew on the last of his reserves to deliver a storming set. The room energised, and he had them up dancing in no time at all! What a great way to end the weekend.A big thanks goes out to all the lovely folk who shared our livingroom. There was also a wonderfully nourishing meal, (Quality and quantity!) provided by the Cosmic Cauldron Cafe, all supported by magic hat donation. Quality and quantity!
recent gigs:
Took part in the Collective-Futures/Liquid Collective NYE party, held at a secret location in North London. I played (opened the stage at 10.50), I engineered, (Kesha, 5am), I dj'd (8 hour set, Saturday afternoon) and I cabled... all my favourite things to do...... The party was a rockin' success and managed to raise over twelve hundred pounds for the Tsnumani Appeal.
recent gigs:
Took part in the 4th Renegade Fabulon, hosted by St.Georges Community Centre, Tufnell Park on Friday 28th February, production by The Invisible Circus. A full house it was, and truely great to see such a venue being used for such an inspiring and entertaining show.
reviews:

Wayhey! On December 18th at last, after a long break, the party phenomenon known as CLOCKWORKPRISM invited me to dj and play guitar, for another fantastic event at the arches, coldharbour lane, way down in souff londahn! I arrived early in the afternoon, and work was already underway in converting the arches into a beauty-full party space, with downstairs sound by Norty, and upstairs Jontys' free range rig.

Grep Prism and Feather on the decks! Eventually, after lots of ladder climbing, gaffa usage and and box moving we had the place ready, and the first of our geusts arrived. They continued to arrive untill very late next morning. Everyone had a great time, and I dj'd from 1.30 until 3.00, and later on played guitar with Greg Prism, and provided the finale with some guitar-work at the very end, after both systems had shut down the dance music. Very nice! Go to my music page to get copies of my instrumentals. We left the venue sometime before 11.00, tired and happy.

.

Dave Banana's drops another great tune!I'll post a few piccies on this page later on this week. As well as piccies from my appearance at Alexandra Palace at the recent, and utterly amazing Antiworld gig, Paradise City 001. There are some photo'sfrom this event on the arts page....

recent gigs:

Played guitar instrumental set at Alexandra Palace rave! Paradise City 001, in Clockwork prism/Fairy Tales Chill out zone, 4th/5th December, 2004. Great reception to 750 people!

news: Sadly, an event that is no longer happening every tuesday is The Circular Music Open Mic @ Royal Exchange, Hartland Rd., Camden Town! Hosted by the fantastic Jeff Musgrave, due to the recent fire at the venue, this event is cancelled. It was one of the best nights around, and I am ever so grateful to have been a part of it. Thanks to Jeff, Naveed, Jak, Andy, Jason, Louise and all the others who helped make that night one of the very best, every week, week after week, for over three years - you know who you are.I am attempting to source a new venue, but it's a tall order. There is a Circular Music event in Cardiff, wonderfully hosted by Jeff"omigosh!Musgrave, if you're interested send me an email, I'll send you the details. And I am told that some of the regulars have started a few other similar nights in Camden, worth checking out.

ACOUSTIC LIVINGROOM @ Unity Works28th NOVEMBER 2004: the astoundingly beautifull, lush and ethereal PINKNRUBY, the well-known and loved CORNEILIUS and newcomers to the psy-scene, I FLY (from Australia!)who have wowed audiences at Gods and Godesses, Word-up and at other events this autumn, play in the chilled out atmosphere of Unity Works. Doors opened at 3pm, for an informal cafe, with dj bobinalong playing acoustically classic music then at 5pm there was 3 short sets from each of the main acts, with music from Jeannie on piano improvisation and Rachel and Ben as an open mic, interspersed with conversation, colour and tone, and sophie's fantastic sunday roast from the cosmic cauldron cafe. The next Acoustic Living Room will be on December 26th, and will feature a host of singer/songwriters to entertain, inspire and amuse, all on a full stomach af heavenly prepared organic foods, from the cosmic cauldron. YUM!!
reviews: ALT.IRE 22 October 2004 was a modern and eclectic celebration of Irish underground music and poetry, a three hour extravaganza of bardic prowess, airs, melodies and some pretty sharp points of view! Very entertaining! It was at The Irish Centre in Hammersmith, featuring, the amazing and melodic beauty of Alan O'Rourke; The poet, actor and singer Nial mcDavitt and his brother, Roddy, both renowned for amongst many things their work on THE WARP, in 1998/99; the by now infamous Gallus Cowboys, whose vibrant combination of banjos, bazouki's, whistles, bodhrans, guitars and boots have caused riotous behaviour in halls of dance world-wide, and then there's the emotionally truthfull, beautifully silly poetry and music of SpaceGirl, from another dimension. We had a blinding night of it, with Alan O'Rourke joined on stage by various musicians, to deliver the nights finale in great voice Alan has moved to Ireland and is recording anew album of music .FURTHER SHOWS ARE PLANNED. KEEP IN TOUCH! BECAUSE IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN -- and maybe again..... lovely
