The Hall
A steady tapping can be heard
Throughout the house the curtains stir
She moves with stealth and grace
A mask upon her face.
Years of pain she hides
Eternity, it seems is not kind
It will not erase the memories
So she walks endlessly.
She pauses in the hall
Where once she saw her lover
And knew the passion of his kiss
The tears begin to fall.
Down her pale face they slide
Making no sound at all
The pain she can not hide
The restless walking her torture.
Death was her answer
it fooled her into peace
Only to make her wander
For an eternity... in pain.
