Some Thoughts On Hypnosis

Some Thoughts On
Hypnosis

It is an exciting time to be coming into the field of hypnosis.....into alternative/complimentary healing in general. Finally, the medical community and others are beginning to recognize the healing potential of these powerful modalities.

Canada is further behind than the U.S. in this respect but I see the changes occurring. It is a slow process but it is happening all around us and is wonderful to see.

A few years ago if you mentioned you were interested in hypnosis, you would probably be greeted with the familiar… "oh, are you going to bark like a dog or cluck like a chicken?" or any number of ridiculous statements brought on by misconceptions created through stage performances, movies and TV talk shows.

That is why it is so important to have excellent schools with high standards and dedicated, passionate teachers so the profession of hypnotherapy can be truly appreciated.

Today, people are recognizing the healing power of hypnosis, as well as making a positive change in their lives, gaining confidence, breaking habits and so on. These things are all within their reach through the power of their own minds.

Everyone from Olympic athletes to business professionals to students are discovering what they think determines the direction their life goes. They are learning to take charge of their own lives and are becoming empowered in the process.

For me, there is no greater work than helping people make these wonderful discoveries. I am honoured to work in this field and I constantly look forward to opportunities to grow and learn more about hypnotherapy.

I have personally seen amazing results with hypnosis. I have witnessed situations that could even be called miraculous. I have worked with clients who, after trying everything they could think of and came to me as a last resort, found that hypnosis helped them with their issues.

I believe that in by-passing the conscious, critical faculty of the mind and working with the subconscious mind, there is no limit to what can be accomplished.

I always tell clients, "What you believe about yourself is what you’ll become....all you need to do to change your life is to change your mind."
