She married Benjamin Rubenstein and had a son, Marvin, and a daughter, Beverley.

She was working in the textile industry to supplement her family income.

Gusta was the main contributor in the action to locate and rescue the few
family survivors from Europe after the Holocaust.

She died of a heart attack in 1973 at the age of 69*.
