Describe the type of person you might be interested in meeting (either romantically or platonically). What traits do you find attractive?

Should the improbable happen, and the right person appears in the immediate future, the following attributes would delight me immensely!

With the click of a button, would appear a clean shaven man with dark hair (or graying), dark eyes, a rugged complexion, and taller than a little, or a lot. In person, he would possess a terrific sense of humor, and have a warm pleasant personality. He would be well groomed, cheerful and funloving, well educated and well informed. He would be active and have a wide range of activities to stimulate his mind, body and soul. He would be trustworthy and honest at all kindness toward children, animals...and especially me! He would be decisive yet flexible; spontaneous yet sensible; and always truthful and non-deceptive in what he says. He is tons of fun to be around! He would be respectful of others, yet he knows when to compromise, and when to stand his ground. He would never promise something he couldn't deliver...because he is realistic! He believes in fidelity! He is modest even though he excels at just about anything he attempts. He would have a great many friends and acquaintances, and his family members would adore him. He's honorable and respected both personally, and professionally!

He would appreciate my strong will! He would value and trust my opinions knowing they come from experience and logical thinking! Because of that, he would seek my advice and confide in me regularly. He would never feel superior! He would have self-esteem without arrogance, be warm and tender and protective of me...without suffocating my spirit! He would be generous with his time and emotions, would encourage my interests, talents and dreams...and would be willing and able to accept love. He would also be willing and able to return it! He would know the meaning of unconditional love...and display that knowledge! He would recognize and appreciate the value of a good woman who gives as much as she receives, and more...gladly!

·  It will take a very special man to capture my heart!  ·

PLATONICALLY is something else entirely! -- PLEASE BE RIP-ROARING FUN! You set aside the "bail bond" as my partner in crime -- that is meant figuratively, of course! I will NOT bungee jump with you...and forget sky diving and hang gliding!!! Leave your cell phone at home, or turn it off -- if someone needs to reach you let 'em send smoke signals! Unless of course, it's your kids -- then we will devise an alternate plan for them-they-he-she...whatever! Dixie Cups and a string are an option!

Describe your personality and physique. (Here is a good place to make up for not having a photo on-line or telling things photos can't tell).

I possess the social graces necessary to attend any gathering, event, or ritual. Yes, I can do that...and be on time too!!! I have a keen sense of humor, and a sense of the rediculous -- I love to laugh at the absurdities in daily life! I am open, honest, kind and respectful to those who are worthy...those who are not generally wish they were, if they have offended me! I don't suffer fools lightly. I am intuitive, observant, smart, adventurous, and capable of deep abiding love for those I care about!

Physically, I am by the book height/weight proportional -- lean with low body fat. I have brown hair, brown eyes, stand 5 feet 6 ½ inches tall, weigh 130 pounds. I have dimples, and a warm and reassuring smile! I am loyal to a fault; trustworthy, funny, family oriented, friendly and funloving.

What personal habits of others really irritate you?

Lies, deceit, bigotry, and manipulators are high on the list. Also being aggressive or obsessive, close-minded, humorless, and taking yourself too seriously. Game players are pretty annoying, and chronic whiners are absolutely insufferable -- get a grip!

Which virtues give you most of your self confidence? If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I don't believe that virtues give you self confidence. I believe that developing coping skills to overcome adversity gives you self confidence. Coping skills are learned...virtues are not! Otherwise, humans would be more virtuous, and they aren't.

As for changes...I would change nothing! We're not talking about the effects of gravity here, right???? :)

Favorite pastime? Sport? Hobby? Diversion? Just what goes on Sundays at your place?

I enjoy Professional and Collegiate sports of all kinds; music, theatre and movies, genealogy, reading, horseback riding, golf, and gardening. I love to dance!!! I enjoy festivals of all kinds, picnics, rivers, creeks and streams, roller coasters, starry nights - holding hands and locking lips! Outdoor concerts are a favorite, as are Art Fairs, Craft Fairs, and just about anything of a cultural, artistic or educational nature.

What type of music do you enjoy? List performances or concerts you have attended.

Some of my favorite performers are: Enya, Nat King Cole, Celine Dion, Johnny Mathis, Ms. Tina Turner (you go girl!), Tony Bennett, Phil Collins, Cher, Julio Iglasias, Perry Como, Peter Cetera, Peggy Lee, Barbra Streisand, Lena Horn, Neil Diamond, Billie Holiday, Simon and Garfunkel -- together and/or separately, Gloria Estefan, Otis Redding, James Taylor, Sara Brightman, The Righteous Brothers, The Moody Blues, and Andre Bocelli.

I have seen a lot of concerts...but, my all-time favorite performances were Neil Diamond at Denver's McNichols Arena, and The Moody Blues at Red Rocks!!!

List some of your favorite lines from movies, poems, songs or commercials.

"Neighbors bring food with death, and flowers with sickness...and
little things in between. Boo was our neighbor. He gave us two
soap dolls, a broken watch and chain, a pair of good-luck
pennies...and our lives."

"Now, why don't he write?"
"I don't think he's gonna 'pologize!"
"Never smile at a Crocodile."
"We don't gotta show you no stinkin' badges."
"Winners are dreamers that never quit."
"Life is like a box of chocolates...
you never know what you're gonna get"
"Sometimes there just aren't enough rocks."
"Get these muts away from me...
I don't find this stuff amusing anymore."
"When you're out of whack...
it's just time to get more whack."

When you get what you want in your struggle for self,
And the world makes you King for a day,
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself,
And see what that man has to say.

For it isn't your Father or Mother or Wife,
Whose judgment upon you must pass,
The fellow who's verdict counts most in your life,
Is the one staring back from the glass.

He's the fellow to please, never mind all the rest,
For he's with you right up till the end,
And you've passed your most difficult test,
If the man in the glass is your friend.

You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years,
And get pats on the back as you pass,
But your final reward will be the heartaches and tears,
If you've cheated the man in the glass.

Try to remember the kind of September
when life was slow and oh, so mellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
when grass was green and grain was yellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
when you were a tender and callow fellow,
Try to remember and if you remember then follow.

Try to remember when life was so tender
that no one wept except the willow
Try to remember when life was so tender that
dreams were kept beside your pillow.
Try to remember when life was so tender that
love was an ember about to billow.
Try to remember and if you remember then follow.

Deep in December it's nice to remember
altho you know the snow will follow.
Deep in December it's nice to remember
without the hurt the heart is hollow.
Deep in December it's nice to remember
the fire of September that made us mellow.
Deep in December our hearts should remember....
and follow.

Do you have any pets?

I am the "significant human" to a very spectacular canine. I am priviledged to have her in my life. She is loved, cared for, and pampered. In return she keeps a very close eye on my well being too!
