My Favorite Books
I love to read a good book. This year I found myself in bed recovering from an illness. I started reading some books that were lent to me. They were all about a town called Mitford. After the first paragraph I was hooked. I love these books by Jan Karon. Maybe you will too!

This is the book I just read. It has the recipe for Ester's orange marmalade cake that was such a hit with everyone in Mitford. Thanks to Lola and Stargazzer I have the ingredients in my refrigerator to make this wonderful cake. *smile* This book is just as good as the others, only it is short and I read it in between bites of birthday cake and ice cream. Happy birthday to me! | |

| This is the seventh book in the mitford series. In this book Father Tim retires while his wife Cynthia's career writing children's book becomes even more successful. The Mitford books portray small town life showing the growth and changes each person faces. |

| This is another wonderful book portraying the charming residents of MItford that I have grown to love. I feel like I could go to this town and walk down the street to the diner and listen to the regulars' chitchat, attend chapel and hear Father Tim's sermon, and even visit Fernbank and enjoy myself thoroughly. |
A light in the window is the second book
