Chapter 6

Every time that Logan closed his eyes all that he could see was Marie. She haunted his every waking thought. Conscious or unconscious she was always there. Marie was everything to him at that moment. He could hear her voice, see her face, touch her body. There was even traces of her scent left with him despite their long separation. It was only the memories and images of her that his mind produced that was keeping his sane anymore.

“How does it make you feel to know that those pansy-ass doctors got to stick their dicks up her cunt more than you did?” Creed taunted as she stood just on the other side of the door to Logan’s cell.

Growling, Logan charged forward, his rage focused solely on Creed. His attack was halted, however, by the electrified force field that made up one wall of his empty prison. Magneto had done his homework well. Knowing that Logan’s claws could cut through anything, the older man had placed him in a cell that he couldn’t escape from. Logan had learned through many long hours of attempts and many layers of burnt skin that he couldn’t get out on his own. He needed someone on the other side and the only person who would help him was trapped as well.

“You stay the fuck away from her!” Logan roared, slicing at the force field with his claws.

All that Creed did was laugh and that pissed Logan off even more. Logan continued to slash at the force field, hoping that Creed would get within range and he could somehow hurt the bastard.

“Now why would I want someone who’s been used as much as her? I like them pure so I can break them in myself,” Creed taunted, staying just out of reach of the claws.

“You bastard!” Logan snarled, throwing himself at the force field unmindful of the consequences on the off chance that he could get at Creed.

Creed burst out laughing as Logan was thrown back across the small interior of his cell. Logan’s back slammed against the concrete wall at the back of the tiny room, stopping Logan instantly. He lay on the ground for a few moments, attempting to regain his bearings. His rage was only fueled as Creed continued to laugh.

“Having some problems, runt?” Creed taunted, crossing his arms over his massive chest as he glared down at the smaller man. “Bet ya really wish you could get out here, don’t you?”

“Shut the fuck up, Creed!” Logan growled, pushing himself slowly to his feet. “When I get out of here I’m gonna fucking kill you. And if I find out that you hurt Marie in any way I’ll make your death even more painful. You got it, bub?”

Creed got up close to the force field and sneered at Logan. “That so, little runt? You really think that you can hurt me? ‘Cause I would really like to see that happen seeing as how you have yet to win in a fight between us.”

Lashing out with his claws, Logan tried to stab at Creed. He snarled and snapped his teeth as Creed moved out of the way so that the metallic claws barely skimmed less than an inch away from his chest.

“Goddamned motherfucker!” Logan roared, slicing at the force field with his claws once again.

“Creed, will you leave the animal alone please,” Mystique said absently as she entered the room. “All that you’re going to do is piss him off and we really don’t need that right now.”

“Shut up, Bitch. I don’t listen to you,” Creed rumbled, not taking his eyes off Logan. “So just go play more mind game with your kid and leave me alone.”

Mystique narrowed her eyes and stalked towards Creed. “Look here, you hairless ape, now is not--”

“LOGAN!!”

At the sound of Marie’s voice, Logan’s head swung around to the main entrance of the room. He was unable to stop the wide grin that appeared on his face when he set eyes on her. She was dressed in tight fitting black pants and a matching shirt as well as a pair of black combat boots. It was a lot more than Logan was given seeing as how he was wearing nothing more than a pair of sweat pants. The thing that caught Logan the most off guard was the fact that her hands were bare. Still, it was his Marie that was running towards him and that was all that Logan cared about.

“Marie!” Logan called out, pressing his palm as close to the force field as he could without actually touching it.

Marie was about five feet away from him when Creed held out his arm, catching her across the waist and turning her in the other direction. Logan screamed in protest, pounding his fists against the electrified field, barely even wincing as he felt his skin burn.

“Get your fucking hands off her!” Logan shouted, his rage flying to unheard of proportions.

A malicious grin on his face, Creed pulled Marie up against his chest, keeping on arm around her waist, he wrapped his other hand around her throat. Unfortunately he had learned from their previous encounter and was wearing gloves. “She’s such a tiny thing. I’ll bet I could snap her in half without even trying.”

“Bastard!” Logan roared, slamming his fist into the concrete wall where it would do less damage. He wanted to kill Creed for what he was doing not Marie. “You let her go now, you fucking prick!”

“Will you let her go, you mindless brute,” Mystique groaned, rolling her eyes. “Erik said to leave him alone. Erik wants him calm and, quite frankly, I’m sick of hearing him yell.”

Creed growled low in the back of his throat and released Marie.

As soon as Marie was free, Logan rushed back to the force field. He got as close to it as possible, watching as Marie rushed towards him. She stopped just shy of the invisible shield, reaching a hand out towards his. There was barely a centimeter of pace separating their hands, but to Logan it felt as though there was an ocean between them.

“Logan, Ah’m so sorry,” Marie whimpered, tears streaming down her pale cheeks. “This is all mah fault. Ah shouldn’t o’ got ya involved.”

Logan shook his head, longing to take Marie in his arms and hold her as tight as possible. “It’s not your fault, darlin’. There’s no way you coulda known.”

“Still....”

Logan shook his head, lifting his right hand as though he would cup her cheek. With a resigned sigh, Logan let his hand drop back to his side. “You have nothing to do with this, darlin’. Nothing at all. I love you, Marie, and that’s all that matters.”

“Ah love ya, too,” Marie moaned, wiping at the tears that continued to fall down her cheeks.

“All right, enough of that,” Creed growled, wrapping his arms around Marie’s waist and hauling her across the room. “All this lovey dovey stuff is making me sick. So I’m gonna stick you over here far away from the runt.”

“Creed, let her go!” Logan shouted, punching the electrified field once again.

“LOGAN!” Marie screamed, squirming in the large man’s arms. She beat against his fists, trying to break his hold in some way. “Let me go! LOGAN!”

The main door of the room opened once again allowing Magneto to enter. Logan could feel a growl rumbling in the back of his throat at the sight of the other man and it was all he could do to keep from throwing himself at the force field again.

“I trust that Pedro is on his way here with Kurt,” Magneto said as he walked across the room to the large computer that filled up almost an entire wall.

Mystique nodded her head, moving to join Magneto at the computer. “Pedro called an hour ago to confirm that the two of them landed in Vancouver this morning. They should be here in a matter of hours.”

“That’s good to hear. So I take it that everything else is in order,” Magneto said absently as he began fiddling with the many keys on the extensive keyboard.

“Yes, of course....”

Logan paid no attention to the rest of the conversation. As far as he was concerned, there was no one else in the room except for him, Marie and, unfortunately, Creed.

The big beast of a man was terrorizing Marie. He had her petite body clutched tightly against his own, rubbing her body in the most intimate of ways. He was grinding his body against hers, sniffing at the back of her head. There were tears streaming down Marie’s cheeks, large fat ones that fell with s silence that they shouldn’t have had.

“Get your fucking hands off her,” Logan growled, every cell in his body on edge and ready to attack. “You don’t get to touch her.”

“You mean like this?” Creed hissed, moving his hand to the juncture between her thighs.

Marie cried out at that, but Creed’s hand clamped over her mouth before she could make much of a noise.

“You are dead, Creed! Fucking dead!” Logan threatened, slamming his hands against the clear wall of his cell.

Creed threw his head back, a loud bark of laughter echoing from his lips. “You’re in there, runt. I’m out here. What could you possibly do to me?”

“Just you wait, Creed! You’ll get yours!” Logan swore, pointing a finger at the giant mutant. “If it’s the last thing I do I’ll make sure that you pay for hurting Marie.”

“Oh will you two stop it! Mystique shouted, stalking across the room and punching a button on the keyboard next to Logan’s cell. A forth wall fell down in front of Logan, blocking his view of the rest of the room. “Don’t worry, Wolverine, we’ll take good care of Marie.”
