SON OF HELEN RICHNOW AND ANTHONY JOSEPH CARUSO 1905-1980
DAVID BISHOP, GRANDSON OF HELEN CARUSO BISHOP AND SON OF JAMES AND CAROLYN BISHOP REMEMBERS ONE OF HIS FAVORITE GREAT UNCLES FONDLY;
Uncle George was a small man in height, but a man with a huge heart. He was so full of love and good will. He and my mother were the only 2 people who could call me Davey, and get away with it. He always had good things to say and a slap on the back for everyone. He and Aunt Marie never had kids, but he would have been a great father because of how he treated everyone else's children.
He was an electrical motor repairman who ran his own shop. He was very meticulous in this and shared his knowledge with anyone who would show an interest.
My favorite memories are of family get-togethers. My grand-father Fred, Uncle George, Uncle Archie (Clara's husband), and Uncle Clarence (Johanna Mock's husband) would sit around talking about anything and everything. Uncle George would sit for hours talking to me about all kinds of things.
When our daughter Jamie was born, Uncle George would hold her and talk to her. He would swing her in his arms and sing to her. Uncle George would have been everyone's favorite uncle. I was blessed to have a family full of uncles who could and would have been everyone's favorite.
