Treasure By The Rose Bed by Tom Barnes

Underneath the rose bed i wonder what is there,
Treasure, a dead uncle an old coin what is rare.
Is something under the soil worth digging up,
Will it be worth ruining the beautiful red rose cup.
Shall i make a bunch first to give to my love,
What is in a roses league, only a bright white dove.
As one of them is not in my hand but a red rose is,
I will turn this pile into a bouquet and greet her with a kiss.
I have found the treasure is the root of the rose,
The strong sturdy foundations that make them pose.
My love will like this bouquet more than money,
Especially the sweet aroma that smells like honey.

When you look out your window to your rose bed,
Dont think about what's underneath the soil but what's above instead.
