Black Dove by Kaleolani

Can you see yourself
through my eyes
those sinister crimes
when we meet,
devotion and hunger
for eternal life
with rage the black dove weeps.

I climb a path to Heavens' gate
and find a hellish lake,
blind fears for rapture I'm chained
to the lives of others I take.

I can no longer see the truth
and the claws are
raping my spine,
I walk into the demons' mist
and close life's book behind.

Look down into the soil you reap
for there you will find my death,
only to pray for an angel to keep
but hold on to lies
I never forget.
