Sea of Dismay by Bethany Mock

The mind plays games
with what the heart contains.
This hurtful game,
with so many to blame.
Nowhere to run,
run away to hide.
My heart will stay here,
here always to cry.
My love will be hidden,
hidden away in this heart,
this heart that has loved you,
loved you from the start.
These games kill the feelings
and bring nothing but pain.
With pain comes not healing,
only darkness and shame.
Forever this love,
I use only as blame,
yet myself and this heart
have nothing to gain.
I hate this cruel world.
Wonders you say?
I see nothing but hope
in a sea of dismay.
