Introduction

Lyrics Universe PlugIn

The Lyrics Universe plugin is a nifty little program that allows you to see the words pop up in your winamp player as the audio file is played. Here are the basic steps for installing it. Starting with directions in getting the audio and .txt files.

1. Create a folder on your desktop named "victor"
2. Double click on mp3/wav file and download it into your "victor" folder.

3. Rigt click on the lyrics file and save it as source in your "victor" folder. It should have a .txt extension on it. You can also copy it onto to your clipboard and paste it into notepad and save it as a .txt file. Both the .wav and lyrics file have to have the same name with a different extension. For example if the wav file is called trustme.wav, then the lyrics file should be called trustme.txt. Please note that the audio file has a .wav extension. It is actually an mp3 file with a wav extension.

4. Download the lyrics pluging here and unzip it into you plugins directory of your winamp player.

5. After you install the plug-in, right click on the top left hand corner of your Winamp player and select "Options" then "Preferences".

6.On the left hand screen click "visulizations". Then on the Visulizations plug in screen select "Lyrics Universe. Then click "configure" and then "Common". Ensure the "Play Lyrics if available" box is selected.

7. Next ensure the Lyrics Path box has the following path. C:\Windows\Desktop\victor.

8.To play the file double click on the .wav file and press the stop button on your winamp player. Right click on the top left hand corner again. Select "Options, preferences, move the window so you can see the winamp player. Then click start on the configuartion screen and the lyrics will pop up as the file is played.You may also have to click play on the winamp player so the file begins. 9. There is also a readme file that you can find in the plugins directory of your winamp folder after you unzip the Lyrics file. It will give you more instructions if you run into any problems.
