Types of Audio Files
The first type of file available on this site are .asf files. They work with most of the earlier and latest versions of the Windows Media Player. For the earlier versions of the player just click on "View" on the player and ensure the "Captions" button is selected. For newer versions click on "View" then "Now Playing Tools" and ensure the "Captions" button is selected. The newer version have the words pop up in the lower captions screen while the older version has them pop up on the main screen. There are also more audio files with captions available for the QuickTime5 player. You can download them at http://www.geocities.com/ryanrey2000

There are also .wav files that can be downloaded right to your computer and played on the winamp player. They also have the ability to have captions but you need to download the "lyrics plug-in" for your winamp player. Just double click on the mp3 file and save it to a folder on your desktop. Then you can click on the lyrics file and copy it to your notepad and save it as a text file in the same folder as your .mp3/wav file. Just remember the name of the lyrics files has to have the same name as the audio file with a .txt extension. You can also right click on the lyrics file and save it as a text file in the same folder by saving it as source and ensuring it is a .txt not an html file. Read the help with files page to get the lyrics plugin and directions for installing it. |
