Here's the Information for our Upcoming
Florida Deaf Dogs 2002 Fall Picnic!

This years Florida picnic is being held at Satellite Beach Dog Park in Brevard County, Florida.

  • DATE: Saturday, October 19, 2002
  • TIME: 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
  • PLACE: Satellite Beach Dog Park
  • ENTRANCE FEES: $2 for up to 2 people with 3 dogs and $3 for more than 2 people or more than 3 dogs

Satellite Beach Dog Park is a fenced, off leash dog park. Click here for the link to the Dog Park Contacts information page. You can also go to our LINKS page to read all about the park.

All dog lovers and their dogs are welcome, ESPECIALLY deaf dog lovers. We ask that you bring your own picnic lunch and drinks. You'll have lots of fun, get some training tips, and they'll be lots of socialization for all. Because there is a 'no people food' rule INSIDE the dog park, the picnic will be held outside of the dog park area. Feel free to bring your own lawn chairs since there is only one picnic table provided. If you are unsure of your dog's reactions to other dogs off leash, feel free to come and keep him/her on leash in the picnic area.

Our Florida Deaf Dogs picnic motto is: "We are here to have fun and to help dispell the myths that deaf dogs are untrainable menaces to society, to break some park rules about voice control, and to provide information and support to anyone who has or might have a deaf dog in their family."

Everyone who attends will be responsible for their dogs' own needs (food, treats and such). Water is provided at the park and we will have water available at the picnic site.

Please be sure your dog is current on all vaccinations, and is wearing all necessary tags. You may want to add a tag with your cell phone number since you will be away from your home phone. Please carry a copy of your dog's records with you. For your dog's safety, you may want to make sure he/she is innoculated for Bordatella.
