Serious and sensible, Coricopat, like his sister, is portrayed as having enhanced spiritual powers and maybe even knowing a little magic. However not much is known about this character as he remains without a real role in the show.

Coricopat doesn't appear in the US Tour productions.
Also in Broadway productions he was the cat who alternated as Mungojerrie when Mungojerrie didn't have his own character and was a puppet automated by Mistoffelees.
