"So back off and have the good grace to give me a little bit of space to coordinate these things at which I'm maybe one of the best. I say it's not just about you. Ultimately, it's about me." --Ridley Scott
Things you probably know, but it's always fun to recap
- I am:
- a woman. I've even taken TheSpark's
gender test to be certain.
- from Ohio. No, really, I'm serious.
- a Gemini.
- Aarika. It's my parents' double-a version of "Erica" or "Erika." Pronounced the same way and the meaning is honorable ruler
- I have a deeply serious addiction to Pepsi.
- I am just now at the age of 22 starting to understand the genius
of Stephen King.
- I believe strongly in:
- knocking on wood for luck,
- throwing spilt salt over my left shoulder,
- itchy palms being a sign of money coming my way,
- not opening umbrellas in the house and
- saying "god rest their soul" after speaking of the deceased.
- I'll never love baseball like I did when I was ten and had a dozen different ways to organize my baseball cards.
- I know my limits. I know that I can't:
- skydive,
- bungee jump,
- eat earthworms,
- fall in love with a humorless man,
- be a size 6,
- ride in glass elevators or
- stop talking when I'm in a talking kind of mood.
- Canadians have to work really hard to earn my trust or respect.
- I lack the following organs, for various reasons:
- tonsils
- adenoids
- large intestine
- I can count to forever in French.
- I prefer cats to dogs. And, also, prefer gerbils to cats.
- I can't talk without moving my hands.
- My voice has been confused as being the voice of:
- my sister
- my mother
- my aunt
- my cousin
- Death
- My favorite president is Woodrow Wilson. I did a report on him in grade school and had serious reasons as to why he's so great. I'm not really sure what those were.
- I wear glasses because my eyesight, at last check, was 20/200. That means that you could steal my glasses and mug me and I wouldn't be able to identify you if you ran more than five feet from me. But, don't do that.
- I'm taller than every other woman in the entire world. (Not a researched fact.)
- I have a crazily optimistic inner nougat filling that clashes greatly with my cynical outer chocolate coating.
- I will always, always, always speak in metaphors if given half a chance.
Thanks for caring, head on back to my blog for more fun.
