Silly things!

A page for silly, odd little things!

I've compiled a list of the stupidest things said by the audience at StEx, if you know of any more, tell me!:

'what's this?'
'This is where we're gonna meet a load of trains!'

'Yeah, it's like some sorta roller derby...' (Umm...no...)

*pointing at the track 'I think they skate around here...' (Duh!)

*Pointing at the model trains* 'Oh look there's a little train!' (this isn't really stupid, but I've heard it so many times!)

'Oh...what his name...the one with the backpack...' (RUSTY dammit!)

'I liked Crusty/Dusty' (How hard is it to remember the name of the main character!!!)

'It's very steep!'

'Thet must be very good at skating' (Duh!)

'This is the track' (no, it's a drive thru restaurant! :))

'It's a skatepark!' (No, dammit!)

On entering the auditorium:
'Wow!' (6 Year old, occasionaly a 30 year old!)
'Jeezus!' (Typical 13 year old's reaction)
'Oh my god...' (Americans usually...or young women)
'OOOhhhhhhh....' (Most people's reation when they first see the stage!)

Silly questions:

We asked the 99/00 cast some strange questions, I can't remember half of them at the mo, but I'll post up the one I can remember:

Can you cook Shepards pie?:

~Adrian: 'No, I only eat Chicken and fish'
~Chris: 'Does that mean shoving a shepard in the oven? Never tried!'
~Marissa: 'No, I don't eat red meat.'
~Leyla Pellegrini: Never tried, but was explaining to Chris how to make it!
~Mr Smith: Yep!
~Irene Warren: 'Of course!'
~Danni K-Wooler: 'Probably, I know it's got mashed potato and mince in it.'
~Ricky Ray-A: 'I'm a great cook!'
~Algernon: 'I dunno!'

Audience-omiter:

The StExers guide to different types of audiences:

~Thick and Boring: The name says it all. Usually found on weekdays or Matinees.

~Thick yet funny: Get the very basic jokes, but still have a good cheer and a clap, Friday evenings are good for these. Ussually consist of alot of little kids.

~Cheery: Not wonderful, but just sit there and smile a lot, not as fun as some types of audience, but better then the boring ones. Usually clap in the wrong place of the song. Vaired times, weekday evenings, perhaps Thursdays.

~Intellegent but boring: The sort of people who go to theatre in suits and probably still have their breifcases with them! Sit there and go 'Hmmm...yes, very good' alot of the time. Found on Tuesday Matinees or some weekday evenings.

~Intelligent but funny: One of the best audiences! Get all the hidden jokes ect, also resalise that 'One Rock 'n' Roll Too Many' doesn't end on '...and the soul...'. One of my favourite types.

~Rocky Horror show standard: Wah! My fav type! These are the sort of people who clap all the time, laugh and cheer at the jokes, make silly call-back lines, and get up and dance at the end, I think the actors like that sort of audience too!

~Dead: Check for a pulse someone! Literally a audience of corpses! They seem to have trouble clapping! We try to liven them up though!

~Bored German Schoolclass: Usually German schoolclasses are a really great audience, I think, but this one was horrifying! The only sign of them was a huge cheer when Ruhrgold entered the first time, and that someone was playing with his/her "laser pointer keychain" during the ouverture.... Appearently this type of audience can be found on Wednesdays. (Ivy)

And don't forget, Wed night is always German night! (Good crowd usualy!)

There are inbetween types of these audiences, and the days of when they are found can variy. If I find a new 'breed' of audience, I will post it up here!
