“As Our Towers Began To Fall”

I watched a video news clip of President Bush on September 11, 2001, showing him sitting in a classroom and reading a book to a group of small children. Before entering the classroom, he was informed that a plane had crashed into the North Tower of our World Trade Center. With that alarming news, he still proceeded into the classroom. When the second plane crashed into the other Tower he was, once again, informed by his security detail. With our nation under attack he still sat and read to those small children for seven minutes.

Was that action the proper one for our Commander-and-Chief? Ask yourself, is that what you would have done? America was under attack. Was it a huge enemy force? Were atomic war-heads already in flight towards our major cities and military targets? Was an immediate atomic retaliatory response necessary? Every second was so precious. For those seven precious minutes, George W. Bush sat like a school teacher while your and my America was possibly being destroyed.

George W. Bush has “talked the talk.” The question in my mind is whether he has “walked the walk?”

George always seemed like the street-wise kid in grade school that had just passed gas and then managed to blame it on somebody else.

A lady in Sonora, California, when asked about her choice for President, smiled knowingly and said, “George Bush is just a little to swishy for me.” President Bush has switched from side to side on many issues. With her thought in mind, I wrote the attached song, “Swishy Bushy.” I hope you like it. The News Channel anchors, on the whole, slant their political reporting towards the Republican big business, big money viewpoint. Writing this song for people to pass on is the only way that I felt my words could ever have a chance to be heard. If you feel as I do, pass “Swishy Bushy” along.

This vocalist has a unique style that is reminiscent of the style of the great lead singers of the favorite rock bands of the 70’s. The foot-tapping melody and lyrics will invoke memories of 911, “When our towers began to fall.” Enjoy the voice of my friend, Brian Eldredge. He is also responsible for the music, melody, and the recording.

The short version of one verse will load more rapidly for you to hear. These versions are quality recordings and take a little time to download but I think you’ll agree the long version is worth the wait.
