The Doors appeared on a National Education Television network on May 13, 1969 in New York City. The group performed for over 25 minutes and were also interviewed by Richard Goldstein, a rock critic for New York’s The Village Voice. Critique was broadcasted on May 23 and included on Goldstein’s discussion panel where Al Aronowitz, Rosko (Bill Mercer) and Patricia Kennealy. This time The Doors left their string and brass arrangements in the recording studio and played four of their new songs from their soon to be released album "The Soft Parade" as well as their well known "Alabama Song" medley. All songs were performed and recorded on April 28 and the interview by Richard Goldstein was held on April 29.
