FOR as long as many of us can remember, Dave Martin has been singing. And even though he lives and works abroad, the renowned Guyanese singer has never allowed the busy schedules of Dave Martin and The TradeWinds to keep him from visiting or writing/singing about his homeland.

So when he traveled for a show at Thirst Park on Saturday, September 27, the students of Saint Stanislaus College made sure it would be a memorable one.

Here, our Chief Photographer, Cullen Bess Nelson, was on hand to snap Dave receiving a plaque recognizing his achievements in music and his support for the learning institution from former Secretary of Saint Stanislaus College Association Andrea Collins. That was a lot to smile about.
