The Music Man-Lyrics

This is a page where I'll put the lyrics to all the songs in The Music Man. Right now, I only have a few songs, but that'll change soon. The songs are numbered in terms of the cast recording of the New Broadway Revival. Also, all the lyrics are as heard on the cast recording of the New Broadway Revival. This is because, as I mentioned, the New Broadway Revival of The Music Man

1. Overture
[Music]
Random Orchestra Member: Hey, this is a march!
[Music]
Conductor: River City Junction, River City next station stop! All abooooooooaaaaaaaaard!
Charlie Cowell: You're crazy with the heat. Credit is no good for a notion salesman.
Salesman #2: Why not? What's the matter with credit?
Charlie Cowell: It's old fashioned.
Salesman #3: Charlie, you're an anvil salesman. Your firm give credit?
Charlie Cowell: No, sir!
Salesman #3: Nor anybody else!
Conductor: All aboard! River City next!

8. Sincere
Harold Hill: How can there be
Ewart Dunlop: Any
Quartet:
Sin in 'sincere'?
Where is the good in 'goodbye'?
Your apprehensions confuse me dear
Puzzle and mystify
Mystify, tell me
What can be fair in 'farewell', dear?
While one single star shines above?
How can there be in sin in 'sincere'?
Aren't we sincerely in love?
Oh, we're in love

21. Till There Was You
There were bells on the hill,
But I never heard them ringing,
No, I never heard them at all,
Till there was you.

There were birds in the sky,
But I never saw them winging,
No, I never saw them at all,
Till there was you.

And there was music,
And there were wonderful roses,
They tell me,
In sweet fragrant meadows of dawn and dew.

There was love all around,
But I never heard it singing,
No, I never heard it at all,
Till there was you.

(Instrumental Break-Kiss Music)

There was love all around,
But I never heard it singing,
No, I never heard it at all,
Till there was you.
