WICKED
The New Smash Hit Musical

Been looking for a great source of entertainment lately? If you live in California, that's a dumb question to ask! From May 27 to June 29, in San Fransisco's Curran Theater, for $80 tickets, Wicked is showing in hopes of getting to Broadway. Well, I'll tell you, it's certainly getting there.
The story starts with the Munchkins celebrating the Death of the Wicked Witch of the West as Glinda the Good visits to tell tale. The story shows how, accidently, Glinda and the wicked witch (known as Elphaba) become roommates in college. Accidently because Elphaba is -cackle- GrEeN!
Wicked is a truly wonderful mostly because of Kristen Chenoweth (Glinda) and Idina Menzel (Elphaba) because of their talents. Kristen was born to be the original sassy comical Glinda, whose solo "Popular" is quite original and exciting. Idina has that sad glare needed in the part of Elphaba because of the many tragic events in her life. I do believe that, without these two amazing actresses, Wicked would be nothing but a melted witch's hat.
There are others that make Wicked a little extra exciting, such as Robert Morse, the wizard. In his song, "Wonderful," his jig was the old Bobby for you. With the help of his mechanical head, Morse is a show-blowing delight.
The actors aren't the only great thing about this amazing musical. The sets are one-of-a-kind. There is a lit-up, moving dragon draped over the stage with stairwells to the sides. Gear towers are placed throughout the stage, for high-tech finish.
Wicked is a joy to watch and deffinently worth the money. The theater is located on 445 Geary in San Fransisco. Enjoy the show!
