Time to break out from woodworks!  That's what these guys feel as they now leave their places in the chorus and move forward to centerstage in Ryan Cayabyab's KORO CUCKOO, a highly entertaining musical revue slated for September 19, 8pm at the Onstage Greenbelt Theater.

Historically, these former chorus members originally met while performing in the chorus of Ryan Cayabyab's musicales held under the aegis of Tanghalang Pilipino.  Since those days of "Noli" and "Fili", they have each established themselves as outstanding soloists, occasionally reuniting in Trumpets musicales; and in KORO CUCKOO, they will be performing the production numbers and solos that have given rise to their names.

The "barkada" is composed of The Company member Sweet Plantado, Little Mermaid composer and singer Lito Villareal, set designer and song/dance artist Mio Infante, stage actressess and jazz/classical singers Sheila Francisco and Melanie Dujunco, and Miss Saigon veterans Eladio Pamaran (Germany), Jun Ofrasio (London, Manila) and funnyman Rod Araneta (Manila).  The entire cast will be accompanied live onstage by the country's leading musical director/composer, Ryan Cayabyab.

Joining them will be special guests from the stage and pop music industry, the very fields where the cast members have carved out names for themselves.  Directed by Freddie Santos, KORO CUCKOO is presented by San Miguel Corporation in association with Madness Entertainment, Onstage Greenbelt, Manel's, Beavertails, Sound Check, Manila Bulletin, Raymund Isaac Photography, Chowking, Weave Concepts, Propaganda and Stages.
