<head>Interview with the Elusive Heidi</head> This interview was conducted by Olli Haaskivi.

Heidi is the co-webmaster (webmistress?) of this Kiss Me, Kate website, as well as performing in community theatre in her area in such roles as Mordcha in Fiddler On The Roof (yes, it's usually a man), and her amazing portrayal of a dancing tree in Into The Woods. She took time out of her busy schedule to chat with me on IMs and tell me a little about herself.

Olli: Now, Heidi, when was the first time you saw KMK?

Heidi: January 22, 2000, and I saw it the second time on March 5.

Olli: what first drew you to Kiss Me, Kate?

Heidi: I loved the movie as a kid...of course Stanley...

Olli: What are your favorite parts to watch in the show?

Heidi: Oh God...I really adore every minute.

Olli: What are your other favorite shows?

Heidi: YAGMCB, Chicago, Ragtime, Music Man...anything with Kristin Chenoweth (duh)

Olli: Who are your favorite Broadway performers?

Heidi: Kristin Chenoweth (in case you hadnt noticed), the entire YAGMCB cast (Stanley, Kristin, Ilana Levine, Roger Bart, Anthony Rapp, BD Wong), Mamie Duncan-Gibbs, the entire cast of KMK is amazing...just so many people

Most of the YAGMCB cast, sans Stanley

Olli: Now, here are a few random questions that you can answer...

Heidi: Wait! I'm not done yet! Christiane Noll, Laura Benanti, Karen Ziemba...

Christiane Noll

Olli: What scares you more: Anthrax The Biological Agent or Anthrax the acid rock group?

Heidi: Why is this familiar?

Olli: I stole it from a Stokes interview (grins)

Heidi: haha...I would not like to be with either in an enclosed space.

Olli: Okay, one more from that Stokes interview: If I put a gun to your head, and made you do this, which role would you play in Cats, and why?

Heidi: Rumpleteaser (grins) I like her number, but I'd have to do it with a british accent

Olli: What is a role you have played that you are more than willing to forget?

Heidi: Oh hell, I loved all my roles

Olli: Sounds good.

Heidi: I even liked being a dancing tree in Into The Woods, and that says alot!

Olli: Once Marin, Stokes, Michael and Amy leave (God forbid!) who would you like to see play their roles?

Heidi: Damn dont do this to me! I loved Merwin as Fred , so him or Douglas Sills, who was offered the role and refused it. Does it matter if i know they wont do it?

Olli: Not at all.

Hifeh: Okay... Kristin as Amy I mean Lois!!!!

Olli: Kristin can replace Amy in "Amy Goes To Hell" :-)

Heid:Well Michael is never allowed to leave, no one else could do his stunt...we get the Gangsters to make him stay. And Lilli...Bernadette

Bernadette Peters

Olli: Now a few last questions, just in case our readers want to be just like you... Friends or Seinfeld?

Heidi: I can't answer that!

Olli: Ally McBeal or Sex and the City?

Heidi: Ally McBeal - in the first season.

Olli: Bill Clinton or Rudy Guliani?

Heidi: Guliani (duh)

Olli: Marin or Heather?

Heidi: Marin, but heather seems like a great gal (I haven't seen Aida yet though) OTap12: we can do it whenever you want LastMidnightBP: *is too lazy to go back* LastMidnightBP: how bout you just answer them and email me so i dont have to wast all my color ink? LastMidnightBP: ;-) OTap12: you don't have to print it LastMidnightBP: i cant save a convo OTap12: i'll just put it on the web one we're done LastMidnightBP: ahh LastMidnightBP: well you know the drill LastMidnightBP: answer away OTap12: ask the questions so it makes me feel like a real interview :-) and add a few of your own :-) LastMidnightBP: i get to fix my bio/interview the way i want to though remember as do you LastMidnightBP: ;-) OTap12: yep LastMidnightBP: full name OTap12: Olli Anthony Haaskivi (don't put all of it) LastMidnightBP: first time you saw kmk OTap12: December 3rd or 4th LastMidnightBP: how many times have you seen it? OTap12: 2 LastMidnightBP: what drew you to it? OTap12: I love anything Marin Mazzie does, and I've always enjoyed Amy Spanger and Michael Berresse's work LastMidnightBP: fave parts to watch? OTap12: I love everything, but if I had to choose... OTap12: I love watching Marin's "I Hate Men" OTap12: "Tom Dick and Harry" is also alot of fun OTap12: I also love the scene where Lilli first reads the note Fred wrote OTap12: and two more: OTap12: the end of Act One is always so funny OTap12: and I love watching Michael's trick LastMidnightBP: *nods* LastMidnightBP: other fave shows? OTap12: good question, Christina (who first did the interview) :-) LastMidnightBP: lol OTap12: Probably the biological agent because it can do more harm, and if the acid rock group comes on the radio I can switch channels LastMidnightBP: *nods* LastMidnightBP: cats role? OTap12: Mr. Mistophelees - it was my favorite part when I saw the show (I was like 5 and it's the only part I really remember as well) LastMidnightBP: yay jacob brent! LastMidnightBP: ;-) OTap12: :-) LastMidnightBP: role played that youre willing to forget LastMidnightBP: ? OTap12: hmm LastMidnightBP: it was your question! OTap12: I didn't have a very pleasant time backstage in My Fair Lady, but that was more personal issues, and I thoguht the show was good... OTap12: our school production of Our Town is not one I care to remember LastMidnightBP: lol OTap12: although it turned out *alot* better than I thoguht it would LastMidnightBP: they always do LastMidnightBP: ny senate? OTap12: Hillary. As much as I dislike her, I dislike Guiliani more for what he put his wife through LastMidnightBP: it's no different from the disgrace of the message of hillary "standing by her man".......that was so disgusting.....she just wanted power........anywho.....we wont debate ;-).....next question LastMidnightBP: cast replacements? OTap12: Fred - no idea, but I bet Merwin and Michael are both great OTap12: Lilli - Laura Benanti in 10 years OTap12: Christiane Noll would rock LastMidnightBP: ooh! yeah! OTap12: Audra McDonald could probably do it OTap12: Lois (!) -- OTap12: I think Caitlin Carter would rock OTap12: Bill -- OTap12: Sebastian LaCause or Gregory Mitchell (all former Fred Casely's like Michael, lol) could do it LastMidnightBP: lol LastMidnightBP: im getting a lot of site compliments LastMidnightBP: yay!
