Interview with the Elusive Heidi
This interview was conducted by Olli Haaskivi.
Heidi is the co-webmaster (webmistress?) of this Kiss Me, Kate website, as well as performing in community theatre in her area in such roles as Mordcha in Fiddler On The Roof (yes, it's usually a man), and her amazing portrayal of a dancing tree in Into The Woods. She took time out of her busy schedule to chat with me on IMs and tell me a little about herself.
Olli: Now, Heidi, when was the first time you saw KMK?
Heidi: January 22, 2000, and I saw it the second time on March 5.
Olli: what first drew you to Kiss Me, Kate?
Heidi: I loved the movie as a kid...of course Stanley...
Olli: What are your favorite parts to watch in the show?
Heidi: Oh God...I really adore every minute.
Olli: What are your other favorite shows?
Heidi: YAGMCB, Chicago, Ragtime, Music Man...anything with Kristin Chenoweth (duh)
Olli: Who are your favorite Broadway performers?
Heidi: Kristin Chenoweth (in case you hadnt noticed), the entire YAGMCB cast (Stanley, Kristin, Ilana Levine, Roger Bart, Anthony Rapp, BD Wong), Mamie Duncan-Gibbs, the entire cast of KMK is amazing...just so many people
Olli: Now, here are a few random questions that you can answer...
Heidi: Wait! I'm not done yet! Christiane Noll, Laura Benanti, Karen Ziemba...

Olli: What scares you more: Anthrax The Biological Agent or Anthrax the acid rock group?
Heidi: Why is this familiar?
Olli: I stole it from a Stokes interview (grins)
Heidi: haha...I would not like to be with either in an enclosed space.
Olli: Okay, one more from that Stokes interview: If I put a gun to your head, and made you do this, which role would you play in Cats, and why?
Heidi: Rumpleteaser (grins) I like her number, but I'd have to do it with a british accent
Olli: What is a role you have played that you are more than willing to forget?
Heidi: Oh hell, I loved all my roles
Olli: Sounds good.
Heidi: I even liked being a dancing tree in Into The Woods, and that says alot!
Olli: Once Marin, Stokes, Michael and Amy leave (God forbid!) who would you like to see play their roles?
Heidi: Damn dont do this to me! I loved Merwin as Fred
, so him or Douglas Sills, who was offered the role and refused it. Does it matter if i know they wont do it?
Olli: Not at all.
Hifeh: Okay... Kristin as Amy I mean Lois!!!!
Olli: Kristin can replace Amy in "Amy Goes To Hell" :-)
Heid:Well Michael is never allowed to leave, no one else could do his stunt...we get the Gangsters to make him stay. And Lilli...Bernadette

Olli: Now a few last questions, just in case our readers want to be just like you...
Friends or Seinfeld?
Heidi: I can't answer that!
Olli: Ally McBeal or Sex and the City?
Heidi: Ally McBeal - in the first season.
Olli: Bill Clinton or Rudy Guliani?
Heidi: Guliani (duh)
Olli: Marin or Heather?
Heidi: Marin, but heather seems like a great gal (I haven't seen Aida yet though)

LastMidnightBP: ?
OTap12: good question, Christina (who first did the interview) :-)
