Falcon in the Dive
He was the mysterious and invisible deus ex machina, who anon, when it suited his purpose, would reveal himself in his full glory as the man who had tracked down and brought to the guillotine the most dangerous enemy of the revolutionary government…He, Chauvelin, the despised, the derided, whose name had become synonymous with Failure, would then with a word sweep those aside who had mocked him, hurl his enemies from their pedestals, and name at will the rulers of France.~
The Triumph of the Scarlet Pimpernel, Chapter XXVIII
In comparison with the last video, this one was a breeze to make. “Falcon in the Dive” is the one song in the musical that portrays Chauvelin as Baroness Orczy herself does: the ruthless, heartless villain who will do anything to bring down his enemies. Was, therefore, a fun video to make.
