Starlight Express Characters with Elvish And Hobbit Names
Elvish
Basically, the characters from Starlight Express with their names translated to Tolkien's Elvish
Tolkein created not only one, but several languages for his Elves.
The two most important are Quenya which is Elvish Latin and Sindar which is the more common.
(If you've seen the movie, the Elves speak Sindar)
This website that gives Elvish names came to my attention. After a slight amount of comparison I have decided that it uses a combination of Quenya and Sindar
Of course, only true obsessive compulsive Tolkien fans would notice this and care.
At anyrate, here is the site (which opens in a new window) The Elvish Name Generator I have not yet been able to figure out exactly what how the generator deterimines Elvish names, because some of them... don't really match the characters :)
Hobbits
Same deal as Elvish, on the same site there is an The Hobbit Name Generator Again, I'm not sure on the basis that this site uses for the names.
I have rather arbitrarily choosen the last names (surnames) for the characters and placed them in parenthesises.
If you don't like the last name, you're more then welcome to disregard it - but Hobbit names are much more interesting with last names (or surnames if you prefer)
