First
Public Performance for 2 of our dear members!
Congratulations Serene Barril and Twinkle Denoyo!
The
performance was held inside the school auditorium and it was
such a successful Musical Recital. Together with two other
recitalists, our members had done their best. Twinkle
presented a Chopin Waltz (op. posthumous. no. 14) while
Serene played First Arabesque by Debussy. This was held
during the Music Fest in CIC, on Nov. 20-21, 2002. We
couldn't get pictures for cameras were not allowed inside.
But still, it was great for they performed in front of about
3,000 people.
"Honestly, I wasn't that confident. My hands were
really shaky... I couldn't control them, good thing the
applause seemed to inspire me. In general, it was great,
especially performing a piece of your favorite
composer--Chopin!" -Twinkle exclaimed as I greeted them
at the backstage.
Serene stated, "It
was really fun. It went well and I think that the trick of
having a successful performance is to think that you can do
it. And I did! Once you have the confidence, the audience
will be nothing to you."
We'll be getting the pictures anytime this week.
I hope you'll wait for it!
